How do you know it's better?
As far as i'm concerned the newest version of my Helms Deep is fairly balanced and i haven't seen any competent complaints about it since.
Also, "Put this plox" and then posting it into the battle-map submissions doesn't really help your cause as well. Put this map into a crpg-module, test everything out and then we can talk.

It does look nice the new one, however as is the old one is a very enjoyable and balanced map. Albeit the attacker ballista blows. Could we just have both of them in the rotation? The more maps the merrier imo.

Sort of the same. It has some of the features of helms deep but is a more desert style castle.

Whaaat? People always ask me for a map change if they see Helms Deep. It usually gets accepted without a single "no". :mrgreen:

Well, then i really wonder why there hasn't been much feedback here in this forum. I'm not playing myself very often in the last couple of weeks so no feedback -> no changes. All i got was a couple of HRE complaining to me about maps, but i tend to just ignore those for obvious reasons =D

NA is a whole different story anyway. It's not just helms deep that is a problem there. It's basically 70% of the maps due to low population.
For EU, it will stay in. I'm not even sure why people still hate it so much. Yes, it's big and i admit that the versions that were on the server before were a complete disaster, but when it comes to walking distance and balance it is just as good as any other maps that have been in the rotation since forever, at least the newest version. Heck, the distance for attackers is even shorter than on some.
I'm going to play a little more crpg from now on again and see what the majority of the players think of it when i'm on the server, but sorry, a few "I don't like it, make it go away"posts (Maybe some actual good feedback why the version on the server is bad would do a much better job here, but i really haven't seen any of those) won't make me just throw away the map that i've spend so much time and effort on. If i only get bad feedback i will remove it from EU as well, and then rework it again to make it work. But once again, i will make my own picture of it on the servers before i rush to a decision.

I've never played the map, so I got no real opinion of it, I just found it really funny that the day you write no one has complained about it you get a thread complaining about it.

As i said, NA siege is a whole different thing. They barely get 40 players on the server, that's why all the bigger maps don't work there.

I played that map a lot Varadin and all I can say is that it isn't really any better than Fips' version. The only major difference is the wall breach to the left and as far as I know, it is a real pain in the ass for attackers. At least the Fips version of Helms Deep isn't so unreasonably hard to attack after the readjustment of spawn points.
