Another one of these sad attempts at making quick money.

What's your issue?

I could sell each loom point for 420k-500k each it would take time and be boring.
With the price money I am offering along side the looms I'm not making any more money, I'm just having some fun with it and allowing people who can't afford a loom the chance to win one.

If you don't like that don't buy a ticket.. Simple

Your defensiveness just confirms how sad you really are.

I don't have to buy a ticket to voice my opinion, but thanks for the offer. This way of making quick money, it's just low. An ape could do a raffle, while feeling out the market and making profit using your wits actually requires intelligence.

clever idea, but with the mod being this old now i don't think its as effective anymore, if this idea came up when they redesigned the site then everyone would of done it

I hope you feel very intelligent by scamming people on the market place. Personally I would rather have some fun.

I have to respectfully disagree. When the raffle holder is completely up front about how much they personally will make off the raffle, and publicly posts the cost and number of tickets, there is 100% transparency. Everyone knows the odds. Everyone knows what they're getting into.

What IS gay, imo, is a bunch of naysayers jumping into a thread to speak poorly of an idea that doesn't effect them, or appeal to them in any way. This isn't something that you have to participate in, or be forced to even acknowledge. If it's not something that interests you, perhaps you should spend your time posting in threads about things that do interest you, or do have an effect on your playing the game.

To the OP: Good luck with your raffle. FYI, in mine, about 80% of the participants weren't random people from the forums. They were mostly people from various teamspeaks that I actually hang out in. I would really only suggest doing this if you are really good at networking and know a lot of people, or have some sort of cause to raise support for. I had both driving my raffle. I might be wrong, and you might be able to be successful without it, but I doubt it. Again, best of luck to you. ;)

Yeah, after seeing the lack of interest, I had a look at the ticket buyers in your auction and noticed it was almost entirely NA members. I presumed a vast majority of these are people you know in-game.

It seemed to me to be a fun thing to do with the community (I've got lots of looms and no use for them, I do however have a use for gold and lack of it. So it seemed like a win-win).
I reduced cost/ticket number and added an extra 100k for the winners as I've not got set goal like a respec. (I worked out the pricing to give a fair representation of what I could earn by simply selling the looms and to give descent odds to the ticket buyers)

Thanks for your support Heroin!

A 100% transparent bullshit is still a bullshit.

If you change the prizes to give 3 heirlooms to first place, and 300k to second place, I'll join your raffle, if you decide to go forward with it. I'll even do you one better. If you can get 45 tickets sold, I'll guarantee to help you sell the last 5, or buy them myself.

This is contingent on two things:

1. You change the prize pool to 3 heirlooms for first, and 300k for second.
2. You establish that you'll do the drawing live in teamspeak using the dice rolling plugin.

I appreciate your support/help but I'm just going to cancel it.

As i said before I thought it would be a fun thing to do.. but it definitely hasn't gone that way.
I hope a few people were just hesitant about buying the first couple tickets and would have joined in if more had taken the initiative. (I spoke to a couple people who were interested if more participated.. but no where near enough to get this rolling.)

A big thanks to Heroin, HG_Sentinel_Draeth, Chevalier_Martin_le_Durable and those who showed interest.

HG_Sentinel_Draeth and Chevalier_Martin_le_Durable if you put up a random item on the market place for 40K I will refund your money (consuming the tax on my end).

Aww bummer, I was about to buy a ticket... infact I was going to make a loom raffle of my own, but seeing that you already started one I held off to not deflate the raffle market.

There's nothing that is scamworthy about a loom raffle like this, especially when OP dropped the price, AS WELL as dropped the amount of tickets involved in comparison to the recent one which went along successfully enough.

All anyone has to do is look at marketplace if you want to see many worse deals than paying 35k gold for a 3/50 chance at winning a loom point. But like those bad deals on marketplace, nobody is forcing you to take them. I don't see what all the hate is about w/ this loom raffle.

You have worse odds playing blackjack at a casino table, yet blackjack is a very successful casino game (for the house).

Seeing people offering 600k gold for +3 items on MP is way worse than a loom raffle like this. +1 for the attempt Vermillion.
