"SH game" is just a code name, the official name haven't been announced so far. Tips: Tencent is one of the biggest IT company in china and has been notorious for copying other software and ideas.

Obvious similarities.

Although, claiming that this is a Ripoff is like claiming all First Person Shooters are a ripoff of Call of Duty or Battlefield.

It seems to have its own style and mechanics in the game.

Not saying they didn't steal the idea.  Although, with the logic people like to use.  Most games are a copy of something.

EDIT: Inb4 Crpg for this game comes out

How do you not see exact chinesified copies of Ruins and Arena in the screenshots? The castle on the screenshots and in the video is clearly Mahdaar castle from Native.

When you 1 to 1 copy maps from a game, I think ripoff is a justified term. I honestly don't get why they would do that though. It isn't like Warband's maps are particularly great or imaginitive. I imagine making an original generic Ruins or Arena map is easier than trying to copy it. They have no shame in doing straight copies apparently, dunno how that goes with law suits.

Nice graphics though, might ditch Warband and play this instead :P

I will give you that.  I noticed the many copied maps instantly.  I am talking about the game as a whole though.  'Arena' is a simple idea and nothing very original itself in all honesty.

Holy crap! Im sorta stunned aswell. How the fuck do you even copy the maps. I mean jesus. After making something like that you cant even call yourself as a person with slight dignity and respect. Thats 100% a fraud.

Looks like it has potential.

Although the guy lancing on horseback has me a little worried that using the full length of weapons isn't that important (or even possible)

If it doesn't have any of the bugs still prevalent in warband then I don't care if it is a ripoff.  Bring it on.  Not a big fan of the combination of setting and character designs though.

I love eastern culture in my western games (shogun 2?). doesn't mean I like asian games like this tho ;/ it looks ridonkulus.

I don't think I could stomach this game, its just too fantasy. and the not the good kind (dark souls), the horrible kind (final fuckingemotasy).

Never played Dynasty tactics / warriors / 3 kingdoms ?  :P

Its a style meant to be over the top.

I'm not sure the one I own (7) is particularly bad compared to the other dynasty warriors, but god that game is terrible. Just to give one example, I've found better animations picking my nose the other day. Even worse, I think it's done like that on purpose.

Yeah that first video looks like a ROTK re-skinned Warband, even down to the reticules used for ranged weapons to the maps. Although knowing how Chinese games go this one will (hopefully) play like utter crap, something that a ripoff like this deserves.

If you guys having doubts about being a ripoff, just look at the croshsair on the bows lol, nothing new for the Chinese though.

It's really incredibly hard to grasp what drives these people to meticulously even copy the maps and details like the crosshair. wtf
