Title: Highland Claymore
Post by: Garrett_ on January 07, 2011, 02:08:12 pm
Copied from tw forums:
Looking at the stats/price hc seems to be rather overpriced weapon, I mean it costs almost 10k, have high strenght requirement, mediocre thrust, not very good lenght, is slower than most other greatswords, and quite heavy(although its not always bad per se), it's only redeeming factors are high cut and cool look , still I think to make it really comparable to other weapons it should have price decrased/stats buffed. What do you think?

This seems like an idea worth quoting.

Bec is definitely not too expensive for what it does.

It's unbalanced amongst polearms.  Compared to the long hafted spiked mace it's certainly a step down, while the price is a step up  :!:

We already have a thread about the highland claymore and those incredible kilts, so this thread is quite useless. We all know that the claymore needs a buff and that those kilts have to be in the game quick!

Quite happy with my Claymore as it is, but of course would not mind a bit more reach.
No speed bump please - it is actually one of the few weapons in the game that are not fast beyond absurdity. The Claymore feels "real" in handling and speed.

And those kilts - WANTS. Of course. Incl. naked-arse-wiggling in Braveheart-style.

Claymore needs a new grip, honestly... look at that thing when you swing :S atleast readjust where the hands go on the hilt.

PLEASE!

Claymore are supposed to be slightly shorter than the continental big swords. I think that the model is in the correct size and shifting the grip closer to the cross guard will require the proper reach adjustment. To compensate, it could get a bit more speed.
