No battle initiated.

Was also within 40, 60, 70, 80, 90 meters multiple times.

I doubt you catched him already...

What I could imagine is, that Kesh is Quickmarching aswell and you got almost the same speed. Even when you move 1 meter per second more then him you will need 13 minutes to get him still.

You're supposed to be able to attack within 50 meters.  But when people are moving at such high speeds it's hard to be within 50 meters of someone for two straight minutes (two ticks on map).  I was within 13 meters, and was set to attack him, is it that hard for a battle to be initiated under those circumstances?  If two armies, 1600 vs 1700 are within 13 meters of each other, and one side wants to fight, you're gonna have a fight on your hands...but not in strat.

I got into this Here:
http://forum.melee.org/strategus-issues/attack-bug/

All I can say is that it's a bad idea to quick march if you can avoid it when going for an open field battle.

^ this, i was 1.5 meters slower than him is all.  And that was taken when i entered the city which was the closest he got to me when i stopped moving for 1 tick in order to enter.  Huesby's ticks were off slightly.  i would move on the minute, while he would move on the half minute.  So I hadn't made my move yet inside the fief and he had made his move.  Having the 2 tick rule within 50 meters basically stopped taking advantage of having your ticks slightly off from the other person in order to attack him before his tick kicks in.

I recommend using Deluge or Transmission instead of uTorrent. uTorrent was purchased lock, stock n' barrel by BitTorrent Inc. a while back and they have close ties to the MPAA and RIAA (motion picture and recording industry associations of MURRICA).

Deluge is a much better program IMO anyway.
