Title: Balance weapons-1h

spathovalkion vs iberian mace- buff Iberian mace by 1 or 2 blunt because right now its 1 blunt for 2 less speed and 4 less length

steel pick vs warhammer for 1 less speed and 1 more length u get knockdown with a shitty stab included just to make u smile-balance?

scim vs elite0: right now for 3 length and 1 cut u get a 1 more speed?! for 1 less cut you are getting 1 more speed and also 3 length doesnt matter really

paramethion vs spathion for 3 less pierce you get 1 more cut and a whopppping 1 length.....(this is why noone uses para)(if u do dont leave a smartass comment)

iron war axe vs iron battle axe for 3 more length and 1 more speed u loose 1 cut?!

Liuyedao and Niuweidao same thing 1speed for 1 cut?!

Arabian arming sucks against Arabian guard sword

Wakizashi vs scottish sword for for 1 less speed u get 2 less cut 10 more length 9 more pierce wtf

nord champ vs knightly arming u get 3 more pierce for 1 less cut

military hammer vs spathovalkion 5 less length for 5 more speed and 1 less blunt

honestly this has taken me like 10 minutes to make i just dont see the balance between the items......well atleast this thread isnt another fucking ban thread!!!!!! i would like to say that i luv u bob and well i have nothing left to say becuase i dont want another goddamned thread warning goodbye everyone and i may make more or these on everthing o and one last thing large whore horse is op.......compared to its counterparts

The problem with 1h isn't the balance BETWEEN 1h weapons. The problem is the new stab animation. Your also not taking into the cost difference between these weapons. Sure, a practice dagger isn't as good as a Paremethion, .. only a 10k cost difference.

i compared the spath between the para......and most i did close to the same price....... anyways something 1k more shouldnt be 10 times better

About ballancing 1h weapons i want to say one thing:
If weapon is ballanced it shouldn't have knockdownp

The Spathovaklion does totally outclass all of the other 1h blunt weapons, except maybe warhammer which still has a niche.

And their are still too many 1h weapons with just terrible stats (Arabian Arming, Falchion, etc).

Goedendag bad. My 12/33, 0 PS, Mighty Goedendag build only gets a 3:1 k:d.

Much more weapons should be unballanced imo, especially blunt knockdown weapons.
If you look more carefull on some weapons,  you will notice that their weight center is closer to the end of weapon uding for hitting enemies, those weapons should be unballanced for eg. Warhammer

My only real problem with the Spath is that the model is hard to see. I still think the Military Hammer is better any day of the week.

It does screw up the balance of the Iberian though. Perhaps a weight reduction to 1.7 would help it fall back in line.

To be completely honest, after playing crpg since the beginning and being gen 20 and lvl 33 and blah blah blah blah blah.

I have to agree with a few of the things he said.

1h internal balance is a little sketchy right now imo, however that being said I believe fully in Tydeus figuring it out for the best.

From years of experience, what is good today, might be not so good tomorrow.


No reason to downvote the shit out of this guy, he made a valid point.

but you forgot about how you are holding weapons. You are holding polearms with 2 hands close to weight center, 1h are hold on one end while most of weapon mass is on other end (i mean warhammer, military hammer ect.)

Tydeus, how do you guys determine the difficulty for weapons? Also, is it possible to change the difficulty based on modes [ie langes/fighting axe], I'm guessing it might be difficult since then we would probably have to select the mode on the website and then have it autoswitch to that mode in game with the weapon out, and then lock out switching to the other mode when the requirements aren't met...

As I said in the thread about 1H axe stats, it would be neat to see some 1H axes and maces with a lot of weight and the unbalanced effect. Maces would be OP if made too heavy, but the bonus axes would receive is minor enough that it would provide variety without being too good.

Would you like to know how physics work? Sure, the weight is on one end, BUUUUUUT (this part really matters) its a short weapon. It's like flinging around a roofing hammer.

Why Spathion has +3 both thrust and swing on masterwork level?
Now when thrust became primary attack my beloved KAS cost just 1300 less, but its absolutely inferior (29p vs 26p).

Internal 1h balance have been great for long time, but i think its screwed now, even if overall are 1hs better then ever.
