Are Donkeys considered cargo or horses for purposes of gear?
I have been told they do not count to the speed bonus horses give. Can anyone confirm/deny this statement?

Just ran a test. With 100 troops and no gear I moved 22.500 meters per minute.
I bought 1 -2 donkey and gained 0 crates, my speed stayed at 22.500 m/m
I bought 9 more donkeys to bring the total up to 10. I still have 0 crates, and my speed still stayed the same.
I'd try it with more donkeys but I don't want Trist to yell at me.
Conclusion: Donkeys are useless as far as strat movement is concerned.
Analysis: Donkeys are a useless troll item in any Crpg game mode.

Donkeys are seen as horses. In order to get the speed bonus you need more horses than troops or crates (1 horse can carry 1 soldier and 1 crate). The current speed calculation has a few bugs though and you might end up with strange results when testing it, will be fixed in the next update.

Do sumpter horse and donkey provide lesser speed bonus then other horses? Cuz before donkeys, i think sumpters didnt provide the same speed bonus as other horses. If its lesser, how does it effect if u have more fast horses then troops and goods, but still had donkeys or sumpters? Sorry for bumbing old post but im interested in this.

Slow horses give you a 30% speed bonus, fast horses 80%. If all troops and crates can be carried on fast horses only any slow ones you might have won't slow you down.
