Title: The last suggestion
Post by: Falka on August 23, 2013, 06:21:52 pm
The last suggestion: close the Suggestions Corner  :P

ok, I'll stop doing stuff for crpg then. bye.
Can be done very easily. I'm not doing shit anymore though. Good luck.

As you can see, the last active dev GTXed after reading too much whinning, so there's no need to keep suggestions board open any longer, cause there's noone who can implement them :P

Suggestion corner has always been a lie.
You know how some politicians always read your letters and write lengthy responses but then you find their signature is made by stamp.

If you have a good idea pming it to cmpxchg2b can work wonders, though.

Half truths are the same as lying.  If you want cmp to actually respond to your private message you need to include a naked picture of yourself.

Not sure if everyone remembers that or not, but it looks like it's time to break out the 5 dollar bills again if we want anything done around here

Maybe that should be your strategy and focus on M:BG so that we don't have the month+ long bugs crippling part of the game...just my suggestion.

There really hasn't been much need for dev intervention over the last year to year and a half, aside from fixing what you broke in the previous patch :x

Can't we just get c-rpg to a stable place, and stop adding new things, stop trying to constantly tweak class and equipment balance, and just let us play a stable working game, and let you focus on M:BG and not devoting time to break/fixes?

From the thread Canuck linked.

I do like that some people are still helping to improve the mod, but I think the main developer focus should be on M:BG.

Just give him a snickers bar. That makes anyone feel better. He'll be back to work in no time.

Modding communities are notoriously demanding and ungrateful, probably comes from people having a hard time breaking free from their customer/paying consumer perspective. Easy to understand this can become too much in the long run.
Still, you've done good work for this module, hopefully you'll be back after recharging.

Anyway, a lot of stuff are getting added regularly in cRPG, even with a small staff, compared to many mods (certainly ones this old), and it is not long since we had a pretty awesome patch. It may be important to reiterate that people mod for fun and themselves - not you or I.
