why not? i mean, if i was in battle and someone charged me, why would i not try to protect myself if all i had was throwing knives, they work just like any other knife, just because their easier to throw doesnt mean anything!

As a dedicated thrower, I like the idea. But only if they cannot block with them in melee mode.

why not?
i dont have enough rep to "+" but this is reasonable. i'm not a thrower and haven't ever mentioned this thing. it is rather wiser for secondary mod to be than not to be)

This was already suggested before and was explained that the warband engine doesn't allow that. They have a complicated reason for it.

I know the reason - in melee mode daggers would be still wielded backwards, but you can use different models for secondary mode if I'm not mistaken.
So just make a copy of every dagger - just flipped around.
Or you can use some magic and make that flipping with other tools, like you did with a lot of weapons with blunt/pierce sides.

We can give the normal dagger and long dagger a throwmode too. so the fast dagger switch would actually make sense :D

The reason this doesnt work afaik is because the dagger is upsidedown in your hand. WSE might be able to work around this i dunno but its been suggested many times before and still hasnt made it into the game so im not expecting much.

why not just do what nordwolf suggested?
make a second model, i mean, javs and darts are held the same way, they all have melee modes

Javelins and darts have different attribute - they are throwing spears, not throwing daggers. TS reverts item position, so in melee it will be normal way, dagger attribute doesn't.
That's why it's a bit more complicated.
