Cat, that usually fucks up the few blocks I manage to get up because he wants to rub his head on the mousepad or under my hand EXACTLY then.
Dog (Rottweiler / German Shepherd mix), she grew up with c-rpg sounds and would probably sleep less well if I stopped playing.


Bunch of chicken, they are free and annoyingly curious and try to steal cookies out of your hand.

And a real lot of other creepers that live here on the land with us, like friendly green snakes and lotsa big fat spiders.

37 cockroaches, 6 domestic flies, 11 mosquitoes, 2 harvestmen, 1 garden spider and a bunch of fruit flies. Maybe a wasp or two. But they're probably dead.

I live on a farm, so my family has 2 horses, 2 ponies, 3 miniature horses, a dog (1 died 2 weeks ago, sadly) and a few cats.

I have 2  cats, even tho they sleep most of the time, they keep my garden mice/rats free.

I would love to have 2 dogs and a 2-3 cats, but sadly, i don't have enough place :( If me and my wife move to something bigger - i will adopt more pets immediately! We both hate kids, so we can dedicate ourselves to men's best friends entirely :)
 
btw, Boxer is THE best dog breed! Had one when i was a kid, and now my parents got one more :)

98 pound female doberman pinscher (loves to wake me up by punching me in the face)

75 pound (maybe 80 now? fatass) Female  Black and tan coonhound (Can never sneak into the house at night. howls her fucking head off)

Haha Armpit nice cat, looks like he doesn't want to give up that computer chair without a fight :D

I have 2 cats, one will be 5 this October, the other will be 2 in December.  Got the fat orange guy (5 year old) when he was turning 3 (been with us going on 3 years).  Got the younger black one when he was about 6 weeks old.  Of course orange cat is annoying as fuck when he wants to go outside he meows constantly, and the little guy is picking up on that (but he still has a cute kitten meow so it's not terrible).

Dogs are inferior.  I like dogs, but not most owners of dogs (they don't know how to properly own a canine) which results in their pet being a terrible animal (barking constantly, acting aggressively towards guests/friends of the owners, trying to hump you, drooling all over the place, chewing up your shoes, etc).  I prefer having cats because we're gone all the time and can leave them at home for a couple days (with food/water of course) and not have any issues.  Cats don't go out of their way to show attention and love to the most obnoxious person in the room (like dogs do).  I've never been 1 second away from killing a cat (due to having my health threatened).  Cats are much more intelligent than a dog (typically, I've seen some retarded cats).

Actually cats have worse problem-solving and analytical skills than dogs, but they are more independant and naturally behave very close to the way you want them to.

Put em on a diet Vibe!  No free range eating in my house (when I had 2 cats growing up with my parents one could eat responsibly, the other was a fatty, so we had to feed them at regular times).

I feed my cats this stuff in the morning:  http://bluebuffalo.com/cat-food/bc-indoor-health-salmon  A little over 1/3rd cup each.  And then about 12 hours later I feed them each half a can of wet food (cheap target brand):

  So they split about 3oz of wet food at night (1.5 oz each).  On this diet for about 1.5 years each I was able to bring my fat cat from 16 lbs to 12 lbs, and my little cat was growing and is now sustaining it's weight at 12 lbs. They've been the same weight for about 1 year or maybe a little more, so it seems like my regime is working for them.

Nice bunch you got there Gnjus, my house would probably looks similar if I lived in a house not a flat.

I just did a test on animal planets site to find a perfect cat breed for me. Looks like my choice was perfect :3 ( I own a Scottish Fold )

I used to be a "dog person" before i met my wife, but now I like cats just as much. The boxer dog i had as a kid, could recognize at least 30-40 words, even if i whispered them, without any connection to the situation. That is something cats do not seem to be capable of achieving :( On the other hand, cats seem to be showing a very distinct personality, a unique taste for certain things, and can become upset, angry, or even revengeful in some situations. These are not "positive" qualities, but they add a lot to cat's value as a pet, since complexity and variety of animal's behavior is what makes a pet a "family member". Besides, cats are simply adorable, once you become good friends :) That is how i justify my new-found love for cats anyway...

Cats are the best mice/rats hunters, it's much better to have a couple of cats than infesting your garden with rat poison and stuff like that, which is not the best solution imo, if you have vegetables/fruits in your property.

My fat orange cat can't be bothered to eat flies and bugs, but my little black guy is a bug hunter.  Very nice not having flies bugging me when they get in the house.  They also scare away rabbits and squirrels that eat our plants and bird seed (and the squirrels like to try and eat all our black walnuts from 2 trees, and I think the cats do a good job of deterring things from coming in our yard).

Dogs are going to be able to protect your house/family (in theory with the right owner/breed).  They are going to be more useful for humans.  You can herd dogs, herding cats is a joke. 

I like cats cuz they're independent, but obviously both dogs and cats have their pro's and con's.  Be wary of anyone who hates a certain type of animal, especially one's as cute and loveable as cats or dogs.

lol, depends on the cat for pest hunting, sometimes our cat doesnt outright kill, she prefers to "play" with her prey.
once she jumped up on my parents bed in the middle of the night, with a half-dead mouse in her mouth, wanting to show off her trophy of war, she dropped the mouse right in the middle of the bed, and it made a straight dead sprint to escape, leaving a nice little trail of blood, and a frienzed cat trailing behind it.
