I wondered what that 1.2 gb update was about
-
1.2GB of colours?!
-
Apparently. I haven't dled it yet but it must be pretty to require that much space :)

Not to overly advertise my thread (http://forum.meleegaming.com/and-all-the-other-things-floating-around-out-there/random-video-game-news-and-discussion!/msg712267/#msg712267), but this didn't really need a topic here.
And there's even a separate Chivalry forum to post this in.
Nevertheless, I am happy for them. I think Chivalry is a solid game and would be very interested to see how they could possibly improve on the concept. After that I would like to see the Bethesda guys look at their combat system and shamelessly copy it :P
-
Yeah but nobody goes on the chivalry page!
-
Damnit, I hate this game.
How can you guys even enjoy playing this crap?
Teach me the tolerance! I beg you
-
It's not crap.
War of the Roses is.

Both are crap

I don't like it either, but there's a difference. Chivalry is not my genre, WotR is objectively crap.
-
I bought this during summer sales and almost played it for one hour total. In the last 45 minutes i was growing a little impatient though and mostly kept playing to get my money's worth out of it.

I like it for the game modes and casually slicing through multiple neck in one slice. It's good if you don't take it to seriously. Though you can actually become quite good at it if you learn it properly but I like the fact you don't necessarily need to to have fun.
-
I really like a lot of things of Chivalry, like mutilations, team objective mode and the warcries, but Warband still feels more fluid and easier to play.
cRPG + Chivalry would be the perfect game.

Fun is for little girls. I just play to make time pass more quickly.

Rather happy for them aswell. Mybe this little success story will encorage more publishers to fund moddingteams more often. And mybe some lame douchebags like WotR team to make a game more moddable, instead of selling the same shit only with different textures.

I only started playing it because people at work bought it and we started playing big battles at lunch. Its fun decapitating and taunting colleagues regardless of the game.

Yeah could be a lot worse!

There's just something so satisfying about cutting someones head off then kicking their falling body into the dirt.

Also available in the other order

I bought it for 5$ and played it twice so I guess I am a statistic.
Just seems kind of gimmicky, not as satisfying as warband.
