Interesting game but skills take too long to get into it really.
Anyone here who wants to trade a low end account?

Biggest sperg time-waste of your lives. Go and do something more useful, is my advice. This is the same type of cancer like WoW and all the other grindfests. I really shudder when I think of all the people destroying their souls over this abomination.

Well, it's a grindfest, but it's quite unlike WoW.

It's the same type of masochism.

EvE is hardly a grindfest since it's maybe the most player-driven universe out there.

Nah man, you don't even know.  Bjord is one of those nerds that posts and rages on the forums for a game he doesn't even really play.

I stopped playing short after losing a Hurricane with X- and A-type components on a lvl 3 mission :(  around 700 mil ISK / 30 Euro in plexes back then... Thought i can grind it back with my Hulk - stopped playing after realizing, that i am watching movies, while drilling rocks in virtual space for 3-4 hours a day. I had Excel sheets open, i had mining buddy installed, i had browser opened with current Jita prices on Mex and Iso, a hauling alt on second screen, etc. - tl;dr: it was insanity :) The only game I could play while taking a nap...

I really think one has to be paraplegic, lonely and rich, in order to play EVE "seriously". Don't get me wrong, I liked it, but it was just way too time consuming for my, not very busy, life!

I have heard people talking about this game for so long. Finally decided to start downloading. Not completely sure what to expect. Any tips or things I need to keep in mind when playing?

Prepare to invest a few hours to understand the basics - enough to dock. Prepare to invest many hours on reading guides, if you want to understand enough, to understand the answers when you have even more questions :) I wasted so much time when I first started playing EVE...
Oh.. tips.. ! Got one! VERY IMPORTANT!

Expect a scam, if it sounds too good! Expect EVERYTHING to be a scam.

Join a new player friendly corporation, as soon as you learn to use map, chat, and are able to dock :) Dock -> join recruitment channel -> wait until you see a good add -> contact Corp officer -> he will tell you what to do. One last thing: If their Corp-office is over 30 jumps or/and in a low /zero security system - think twice before joining ( it will make sense when you know map/docking )

Okay, I will probably try the game out tomorrow. Gonna try what you said.

Wish me luck!

I'd stick to high sec for now, and like armpit_sweat said, don't trust anyone. They're all (space) scum.

As much as I admire the level of dedication people like that have for EVE Online, I'd never engage myself with that kind of stuff. You need to have 100% spare time for shit like that.

Yeah that's the problem, I have yet to find a deep MMO that you aren't forced to play 24/7.

Same reason I don't play EVE myself, I would never find the time to play it on the level I would like to.

I tried it. Massive grind and 90% of the time you're watching yourself float across the screen and not actually playing..
