Title: Is someone here still playing Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon?
Post by: Salvius on May 10, 2011, 05:09:28 pm
Hi guys! :)

Few days ago I sat around thinking about the old days and the game "Ghost Recon" came to my mind. :D I'm talking about the first version, which was released in 2002 I think... ;)

So I searched for my disk and surprisingly found it!

The good thing is that the game works on Windows 7, the bad thing is that I don't know if somebody is still playing it online... ;)

The official servers on "ubicom" have been shut down a while ago as far as I know... But the game is great so it's very sad that I have to play against the computer.

Just write down if you know something about people playing this online... :)

greeting

The original??  I still have all of my cd's for that game, as well as the 2 expansions.
I also thought GRAW 1 & 2 were pretty pimp, even though almost no one except for me played them on the PC.
Love all of the Tom Clancy games up to Raven Shield.  Everything past that went the way of the consol gamer....  they really killed the series by trying to cater to mass platforming.  Health bars + 3rd person view = fail.  (except for M&B, of course.  it makes sense in this system)

I can only agree with you. :) Games like Ghost Recon and Ravenshield had something special you almost never see in new games... ;) I'm not sure, if the multiplayer is still working, though.

Ah sweet days of shouting ''MOTHER******* PEICE OF **** GAME'' at my tv screen when I died...

Good memories, good memories
