Title: Remove upkeep in DTV, since we only get x1.66 at most
Post by: mulas on May 09, 2011, 10:20:28 pm: Defend the village is fun, but xp and gold is only 1/3 which translate to only 1.66x when it's 5x. Now 5x isn't easy, even when we have it, the engineers or higher tiers will destroy us.

So remove upkeep or we only going to lose $$ wearing average gears. Sounds fair? Plus the damn bots swarm and spam, no way to defend when it happens, even if you have shield it'll break eventually, 2h lol good luck. It'll a nice change to wear some plate and fight bots instead of each other.

i'd say 1/2 - 2/3 upkeep - you still ahve higher multiplier than on the average battle server, so upkeep should be higher than 1/3

Wrong, 1.66 multiplier like OP stated... that means we get a max of 1660 xp
on battle server you get an average 2000xp

do the math

This. Furthermore, DTV is only against bots. Nobody suffers from other players having so-called OP things (just because those things are expensive doen't mean they are better, and after a few months of upkeep, it still isn't)

I roll the battle server with full churburg and a miaodao every round, regardless of my multi. I haven't taken my armor off since I put it on at 1million xp, currently I'm at 8.5mil. Counting all the shit I've bought and excluding what I lost playing DTV for an hour, I'm pretty much dead even. Playing DTV for an hour with a near permanent 5x, I lost 15K gold.
