Because the skills required to manage a clan and the skills required to excel at duels overlap so much?

Don't think we'd have many existing leaders still as leaders if this was implemented, I say nay

...when a lord who got challenged into a duel would just have the newcomer imprisoned and later executed with a typical low profile hang-by-the-neck event at the market square. Just to give an example for everyone else who thought they could solve problems with violence  :lol:
