In native the Two Handed Sword is usable on horseback, but who cares about that... A better argument is to examine the stats and try to figure out why this sword can't be used on horseback. At 110 length this is still two less length the shortened military scythe. The weight is 2.2, however the Persian battle axe is 4.7. The difficulty of the Two Handed Sword is 12 right in the middle relative to most weapons that can be used on horseback. The thrust damage is less then both the Heavy Bastard Sword and the Longsword, and while the swing damage is greater by 1 for the Longsword and 2 For the Heavy Bastard Sword, the speed of 96 for the Two Handed relative to the 99 speed for the Long Sword and 100 Speed for the Heavy Bastard Sword. I addition to all that, the increased upkeep relative to all the above mentioned weapon, I see no justification for disallowing the Two Handed sword from being used on horseback.

Hush.

It doesn't look overpowered when used on horseback, but it's really good weapon on foot. So the combination of good weapon + good inf weapon could make it too good weapon overall.
But then again, shortened mil. scythe isn't overused either, though it's not that great for infantry IMO.

no, no, no, no, NO! two handed swords are too heavy to be used on horseback with one hand, end of story.

Ever looked at the Persion Battleaxe's weight? IT's more than double the weight of the Two Handed Sword.
Your point makes no sense (in game sense ;-) )

that axe also has 20 less reach.

If you want it like that, look at the Shortened Military Scythe, more lenght, same weight and looks like its not very well balanced out like a sword.

ok ban all 2h weapons on horse back since it doesnt make fucking sense to swing a 2h weapon with one hand, because then we might as well wield 2h in one hand along with shield.
fixed
edit: you do realize that one third of SMS is wooden, right?

I don't think that is a reason it shouldn't be used on horseback because it is a good weapon on foot. I mean just look at the longsword!

We have that already, you genius.
So what's so special about the wood on the SMS?

Remember how good was long hafted blade, both for infantry and on horseback? And who use this weapon on horseback now?

I try, but I get out ranged by everything. Can only attack unaware archers at best.

No.

UNBAN TWO_HANDED_SWORD_ON_HORSEBACK NAOW !! MOD IS DIEING WE NID PPL !!!!1!
Haem. Well it's a nice idea, weapons of the same tier as the katana should be usable. Not a priority though, so dunno when we might see it.
-
if it was made a cavalry weapon it would make using other 2h cavalry weapons irrelevant as it would be just as good on horseback but better on foot
i say no

i am talking about 2h not poles, and if you mean bastards and longswords... well those two weapons could be wielded 1h by those of adequate strenght. however if someone wants to use two handed sword on horseback, then we might as well use danish greatswords, and flamberges 1h along with shield.
by wood on sms, i mean that the blade itself is actally shorter and that one third of the weapon is made of lighter wood, rather than steel.

And then you let you eyes wander on a longsword
