Read the book. The same but better and devoid of irony (when Heinlein wrote "Service guaranties citizenship", he did really mean it). In the movie, the recruitment ads and the general tone is satirical, in the book, not so much. Still, great read.
Also as much as I know about the book, the Marines are actually way more armored, and armed than in the movie.
It was some MURRICA thing to make them look very 'merican or something.
Never read the book, probably didn't understand the movie, still feel obligated to post a shitty nationalist opinion about it that shit talks America for no reason. This is why no one in the world respects my old friendgy Europeans like yourself.

Yeah that's a great movie, popped it in the dvd player about 2 weeks ago and re-watched it.
First time I ever saw it I was tripping on mushrooms, it was f*cking epic
LOL!!! :D
I watched a movie once when I was tripping... Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children.
It was too intense lol. It didn't look like CGI, it looked like plastic action figures came to life and started doing battle.
When they started flying around and doing limit breaks... shit got too crazy, it was like brain overload lolol.(click to show/hide)
I definitely wouldn't mind shared showers.
