Title: Different damage types and knockdown
Post by: owens on July 02, 2013, 02:51:46 am
Is it an artifact of warband code that only blunt weapons can knockdown?

This question relates mostly to bill hooks and the fauchard. Is it possible for a fauchard to deliver cut damage and be given the  knockdown perk?

Some people are not a fan of knockdown but... I think that given very weak stats certain weps secondary modes should have a chance of knockdown. That is weapons with hooks. It is far more realistic to tripped (knocked down) by a hook on a pole than a flanged mace.

^Weapon perks are an important feature of warband.

I would love to see weps that can break block but cannot knockdown, Low slot count un-sheathable weapons and shields that delt extra damage on nudge.

Fauchard does not need any buffs or perks of any sorts.

It is an extremely fast and long 4d polearm that can be sheathed, used on horseback, and stop cav.  It is literally and jack of all trades Polearm.

The damage is low to make up for that.

I am all for the idea of variety, but not for this weapon.  Give Long Voulge Crushthrough.

Don't give the devs any ideas, or they will give the Longsword knockdown.
