Title: Crashing to desktop every time I join a server?
Post by: BlackWhite on May 06, 2011, 09:09:27 pm: Just started yesterday but I closed C-RPG and restarted and it worked fine. Now it crashes the second I join the server (I see the terrain load and get the "select screen" window than crash).

Any experiences with this? I imagine it is something video related? Any help is appreciated.

Post by: Lizard_man on May 06, 2011, 09:15:42 pm: yeah, i've had this a few times, plus i get it alot mid game, i set my graphics card settings to performance, then turned the graphics on warband to low, helped alot, worth a try anyway...

then get a better computer or upgrade your current one. i have every thing on the highest qua video settings and never got any lag at all. but then again i have 4GB videocard :wink:

Post by: Punisher on May 06, 2011, 09:42:18 pm: Try deleting profiles.dat from Warband folder in AppData. You can find it by typing %appdata% in the adress bar, also make sure displaying hidden files is enabled.

Make a backup first in case it's not the problem, so you don't lose your character faces for nothing.

Tried to join eu_1, but everytime it crashed to desktop after the terrain was loaded and the frame for the team selection menu was shown. But when i tried eu_4, there was no problem and after that i could join eu_1 without problem too.

So: did you try to join the same server everytime? If yes, try another one.

Post by: BlackWhite on May 07, 2011, 01:22:03 pm: Ya man at first it worked, and it works now (logged in once and admittedly I have been playing like 6 hours straight now lol :oops: ) but could you narrow it down to graphics, anything Amoebe?
