Do not do it. Ever. Especially if teammates are around.
Kthxbye.
On a more serious note, really avoid using the couched lance when teammates are around. You don't know how they move, they don't know how you move, it's only good to attack lone enemies that move in a very predictable pattern.

haha! Thx for the lulz! +1 to you!
But on a more serious note :
-dont couch random running 2handers that dont pay attention to you...they most of the time faking it and will lolstab your horse
-bumping someone will make as if your couch has stopped but its actually still couching (when going through an enemy mob iv couched, bumped someone and my lance goes up...but i killed the following guy with my couch wich i beleived to have stopped...)
- and oh yea...dont couch when friendlies are around ^^

Ah funny, I learn more in this thread than I say. I've had this, too, couched lance of enemy goes up and suddenly down again in the fraction of a second, right in my face ofc.

Couched lance works well with highly armored opponents. Not really worth the effort with anything else.

it is a great shieldbreaker

Another fun fact: it is possible to chamberblock couched lances.

Couching seems to be nerfed a bit, I had more than one occassion where I didnt kill my enemy.

We tried this with Alex, couldn't do it. So it's very hard or impossible, we're awesome after all.

Devs and skill don't go together that well...
