I might go lancer cav next gen, and I was planning on using this build.

str 21
agi 18

ps 7
4 if
4 ath
2 wm
6 rid

120 pole wpf

heavy lance
long bardiche
courser
medium armor

Should I get more riding and less PS or what?

I am playing a cav build now 8 of my ten gens and i think 5 riding is enough

on which rank? and if you are pole cav i think Destrier is the Best!

The courser is really good, since you will need all the speed you can get, to land a kill.

I'd go 21-21 level 32, using courser or arabian+ reg lance

1. Playstyle -> 2. horse -> 3. build

The choice of horse should be made by how you want to play and what you want to be good at.
After that you can choose a build.

Lance cav can be very different depending on horse, build and equipment.

If you want to be good at fighting other melee cavalry you should definately go 18/21 or 21/21 and use an arabian warhorse, for example.

If you can, consult devilize over steam. He's a good resource, as well as ShinOCK.

I had both of them sit in TS with me and we conversed for hours over Cavalry.

Poke me over TS if you wan't to do the same.
