other than the crpgwarden spyprogram idea.
It never ceases to amaze me the number of people willing to put spyware on their machine in the name of e-security...

And that's exactly the response that keeps letting the government destroy more and more of our personal freedom's each year.
Anyone who trades liberty for security deserves neither liberty nor security". ~ Benjamin Franklin
I don't have anything to hide, except an extensive collection of filthy filthy dirty fist squirting chain-bang bukkake porn (and I'm not hiding that from anyone but my kid, I'm more than happy to share it with the world). However it's the principle of the matter that's wrong. The same mindset you have is why the cell-phone companies have been able to track your every movement for years now "Because it helps with 'security'. It keeps you safer in case of accident or kidnapping." And yet in the news this last week everyone was all shocked when an article was posted about this. "They can track me? Ohnoes!" Anyways, gonna get all pissed off an derailed about people's stupidity on this subject of voluntarily giving up freedoms so I'll stop and just go to work now.

America, a country that 'legally' murders tens of thousands of civilians in the name of justice, for 3000 souls? No American life is worth more than 1 Afghan civilian life, or Iraqi civilian life, but the American government seem to think so. They'll send machines of mass destruction to murder civilians in the hopes of killing a handful of terrorists.. Disgusts me.

I agree with your first point as it's the same in the UK and probably most countries, your second point is warped bullshit.

I'm against government tracking, RealID, and many of the other forms of authoritarian control which people are practically begging for these days, but an anti-cheat program is pretty far from authorizing the government to monitor our every move.
If an anti-cheat program can effectively catch macros and hack programs, while maintaining the important conditions of A) not squandering a computer's resources, and B) not affecting the computer's registry in a negative way, both short and long term, then I'm all for it. I've noticed more and more no-name people come into the servers recently who are ungodly pro at manual blocking, and things are getting more and more fishy. I think we've begun to enter the reality that hacks are going to be a constant and increasingly more common part of the game. An anti-cheat program might be a way to deter them from becoming even more wide-spread.
