oooo im not new at all. just never had the prob. i figured it was on taleworlds end. but half my friends are in and im not :[

This is how I fix it: (Happened 3x for me now and this worked every time)

You must cold boot your computer.

So turn your computer completely off, and wait at least 1-2 minutes.

Then turn your computer back on, and the glitch should be gone.

A "restart" will not fix the issue.

In an older topic Templar Steeve has given a solution. I tried yesterday and worked: Simply restarted my WiFi router.
(There's a chance that while I restarted the router simply passed some time :))
I tried many things before (relaunched warband via Stream, restarted my computer etc), but these failed to help me.

all these solutions are called patience and luck. He just did something to pass the time so the taleworlds server could do his job again and when he joined he could play again, thinking he fixed it.

I see what you mean, however its a bit strange that after 4 hours of waiting it still doesnt work, and strangely it works again in the 5 minutes that you reboot your computer. Coincidence?

Unfortunately, this didn't work for me. Still unable to join a server =/
