Red Orchestra 2 expansion/standalone whatever you want to call it, but its RO2 in the pacific theater!

I had my doubts when I was thinking about picking it up, but I took the plunge and I've been having a lot of fun! That isn't to say the game doesn't have flaws, but it's certainly worth taking a look at. The game really shines when you're in a good server with both sides using teamwork and actually going for the objectives.

Wont pre-order this, cant trust tripwire as they still havent fixed all the bugs in RO2, and now they expect me to pay for a dlc that was suppose to be free for those who bought RO2. Will prolly get it on a sale as ive been waiting for this for a loooong time now. Damn slow working people, this shouldve been released last year.

TWI didn't develop Rising Storm, so its not like its stopped them doing bug testing in the meantime. They have helped in the last few months to polish and make sure the launch is as smooth as possible though.

You might be able to play Rising Storm even if you don't buy it, but you will be limited in some ways (probably only play rifle class or level limited). Same if you buy Rising Storm, you can play regular RO2. So 1 map might be RS, then the next RO2 on some servers and everyone can play on either map. Not totally sure if TWI confirmed that.

If you want to try it this weekend then you can easily get a beta key from people if you leave you steam name (i got 2 atm)

Well i take back most of what i said, tried it a bit today and gotta say its improved a lot. Hit detection is great, no delay etc. Might even pre-purchase it... will see.

Updated our Servers to run all RO and RS territory maps. Unfortunately no new map for the MP campaign yet. Works with RS maps but still looks a bit stupid when you click on Mamayev and the game lods Saipan. Will try to add a RO and RS map to each territory to make it a bit more random.

Love game ..BUT..all the fucking time same shit after few minutes cracking sound and freez with black or white screen. restart needed..got 660gtx ..they stil dont fix it since RO2

I like RO2 in general, clocked around 200+ hours playing it, but it is way too raw for a commercial game... Buggy as fuck. CQC and cover system is an awkward mess. I am having hard time pointing out, what exactly is wrong with it, a lack of polish of sorts... Everything you do - run, climb ladders, take cover, using map as a commander - it all feels unfinished somehow. If you ever played ARMA 2, you will understand what i mean.

I expect Rising Storm to be just as buggy, and with so many PvP shooters out there - servers will be empty by the end of this month...

Interesting... So I can play RS if i own RO2?.. Might give it a try later today.

Playing only rifleman sounds good enough for me, i mean its basically the only class i play anyways. And nothint stops me from looting weapons, right? :P

Imo killing Americans with Banzai charges is so much superior. And then you camp with machine guns in a bunker with others and then a flamethrower guys pops up and roast em all.
