Title: Let the city bells ring! Occitan and HoC break bread for peace!
Post by: BoneSaw on May 23, 2013, 03:37:45 pm: Was a cold desert evening when my palanquin under a white banner of truce arrived in Weyyah for peace talks with Occitan. I stepped out from my carriage onto the steps made from hunched over slaves to be greeted by Arowaine. He proceeded to kiss my cheeks(must be a western thing I thought but it's all good) and offered me to join him in the great hall for negotiations. We feasted on desert boar and washed it down with a very good vintage wine, I thought to myself "Arowaine must have busted out his private stock to impress me". I do admit it was delicious and well received. After our main course he entertained my entourage and myself with a gladiator pit fight to the death followed by music from the famed 13 virgins of Shariz. During this royal entertainment we were able to discuss our terms and came to an agreement.
I told him verbal agreements are only words and that the Hounds of Chulainn always seal a deal with blood. So in the old customs of HoC I drew my captured Remnant dagger from a war ages ago and proceeded to cut my right hand for the "shake of peace". Arowaine at first did not like the idea of cutting his hand and sharing blood for peace but he cowboy'd up and to my surprise cut his hand deeper than I have ever seen without losing fingers. We finished the ceremony and I advised him to get that cut cleaned up for it could fester being that deep you crazy bastard! We laughed at that and so I returned to my lands with great news of peace and prosperity for my people. Men of honor are hard to find this late in the wars and I have been privileged to meet one of the last. May the gods of war greet you as a friend when you enter the hall of warriors!

Try putting some oatmeal in that cut, helps with the binding process.
