Title: If I retire..
Post by: MrShovelFace on May 05, 2011, 12:53:04 am
if i retire for the second time will i find myself at square one when the devs do modifications to heirlooming. I am concerned of losing one of my two heirlooms because someone else has to lose 20 out of 40 of theirs

Its the risk you take. I only have 4 of 8 and an inconsequential experience bonus. Had I realized what would happen, I would have forgone my last 2 retirements and been almost 34 with 3 heirlooms instead.

Personally, I support a total reset of everything. Maybe give 1 heirloom to anyone above gen 1, but that's it. Start everyone over at lvl 1 on the same footing using the same system. Too many people lvl 34+ who never retired, yet mocked those who did that lost them and aren't even back at lvl 31, or others who as you say, have entire sets of weapons and armor heirloomed even after the 'take back'.

Based on the last heirloom theft you would get rounded up so if you have 1-3 you would get 1, whereas soemone who played far more for longer hours to get 15 heirlooms would lose 10 and get 5.  But chadz also said this time it will be fair (as in alst time was unfair), based on his dislike of players actually using the retirement system he set up, good chance people under 10 heirlooms keep them all and those over will lose 80-90% of theirs, have to remember he comes from a socialist country where this is what fairness is defined by (take from the wealthiest to allow the poorest to be taxed less and get government paid jobs with 8 weeks vacation a year).

This, except do away with heirlooms as we know them

Im not an exp/heirloom chocolate chip cookie but I want to make sure the 17 hours i spent on this gen go to a worth while cause

I don't know what is fairness to you kesh but for me fairness is that everyone as the same chance at the start (so keeping 10 heirloom from a broken retirement system is not exactly fair). That mean you need to provide the mean for good education, health and other silly worthless stuff that mean lots of tax. But even then it's always the same bunch of people that stay at the top.
I wonder what you call your country ?   "elitist" country , "born poor live hard" country ?
Fox news is feeding you lies  seriously. Also i don't know about you but most people consider vacation a good thing and are pretty upset when you try to take them away.

So let me make sure my tally is correct. chadz is a horse hating, 2 hand loving, trolling and commie(!) donkey now? J/K

(with 8 weeks vacation a year).

Sure is a fuck load of a better system than the one here in the states where you're lucky to get 2 weeks UNPAID vacation per year.... maybe.
