Put it back to where it was. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it. Now, with this reduced experience and nerfed heirlooms, there's no point in retiring at 31.
-
it was lowered to reduce grind.... cause now that its slower there's no grind right?
-
Why not just bump normal exp instead?
Same effect, easier on noobs, even less grind.

I don't really understand why they don't do this... Possibly afraid of massive heirlooming? I hope they apply this when they (if they) cap the total number of heirlooms.

Agree.

At least they could give us 10 multies :P

They should at least increase the gen exp bonus and the bonus exp cap. Cause right now there is no point in retiring even for new players.

A lowered XP generation bonus results in more grinding as it takes longer to reach your goal. Mine is 9 fully equipped items and a level 36 character.
Sadly I can't keep up with all other stuff in my life because of the high amount of time I have to spend on grinding.
First I have to retire 27 times to get 9 fully heirloomed items and then I must get another 279 520 000 XP to reach level 36.
But I fear I won't live to see that day because all continuous patches. Sooner or later I will have to remake my build anyway...
Retiring 27 times equals 235 867 761 XP or a play time of 3931 hours (164 days) at 1000 XP per minute.
Reaching level 36 takes 279 520 000 XP or a play time of 4659 hours (194 days) at 1000 XP per minute.
That is 358 days of play time...

List of improvements to remove the grinding from the game:
- A maximum level. I suggest you make it 32. Right now people are dying trying to get above it... or they will, eventually.
A trading system for heirloomed items (on the way)A limitation of number of heirloomed items that can be possessed or equipped (on the way)
I guess further limitations couldn't hurt as they would probably just make me healthier
Great job chadz! The mod just keeps getting better and better.
I'm glad you implemented the 2-slot and unsheathable items as well. It just makes the game more class based forcing people to teamplay more as well as more realistic. I love it.
But the pike needs to get its speed lowered (below heavy lance imo).

No, cav player.

Riddaren, you will never achieve your goal, level is caped at 35...
Btw, you don't need 9 heirlooms to be effective and to have fun, but i can understand that could be a goal if you play a lot.

It doesn't really matter in cav vs pikeman situations but why should my heavy lance that is shorter than the pike be slower than a pike while fighting on foot? It doesn't make any sense.

Blondin, I didn't know it was capped at all. Well, that is good but it's still too high I think.
To be honest I'm quite happy with my champion course and masterwork heavy lance.
Just regretting I heirloomed a light crossbow... but with the upcoming trading system someone will hopefully be willing to trade it :)

Soft cap, its just like 500 million xp to get to level 36 or thereabouts. With xp cap implemented no one will ever reach level 34 let alone 36, we really don't need a level cap of 32 as there is no reason to retire so you literally hit a wall at level 32 and never change or improve your character ever again, which removes much of the role-playing fun.
