Your country needs YOU! (tournament based on 'Nations Cup')
So, Corsair had put a lot of work in it, maybe too much - see events Nations Cup subforum for more info.
This is a second attempt to get something started that can be a lot of fun both to active players and spectators as well.
Ah wait, I wanted to keep the post short.
First of all, the rules:
1) Matches will be 8 on 8. Rosters can have as many players as you want, but you should have at least about 12 active people in it.
2) The tournament is based on nations and nationalities.
Example: You were born and raised in Germany, but your parents are Turks. So you can play for Germans or for Turks. But not for both. One player can be in only one team. It is not allowed to switch between or from one to another team once the tournament has started.
3) One nation can have more than one team.
Example: There can be a Germany I, II, III.
4) Every match has 4 rounds. Two maps will be played, one closed, one open, both with spawnchange. So a match wont take that much time so you guys can get back to grind soon.
5) Everyone can participate in this tournament, playing for his country. You can use your main character, alt, or skip the fun. You can even use a different character in each match if you like. But it is not allowed to change character in a match.
6) The one and only equipment rule here is, your character must not use equipment over 10.000 gold (en total). To clearify, the used equipments value must not be more than 10.000. Value, not shop price. Value is the gold of an item you would get if you sell it to the AI merchant.
You can use loomed stuff, but the value of your complete equipment used must not be more than 10.000 per character.
It is not allowed to transfer some money from one player to another player of the team. So its not 80.000 (8 players x 10.000) gold for the whole team, its 10.000 for every player.
Lets say some player wants to play with cheaper than 10.000-gold equipment, in that case the money is lost. Simple. It is not possible that the gold he doesnt use can be used by another player.
Got it?
Again, value is not the shop price and its not the cost you can see on your characters inventory gear site on crpg net.
Its cost / 2.
Select all the gear you want to use. If it says 20.000 (or less) character-inventory-cost, its all right.
These are the rules. Simple. They are not up for discussion and will stay the way they are. If you want to participate, you have to accept these rules and make sure your teammates will stick to them.
If you want to be captain of your nation, post here. It is not important that you are the best or a top player. It is important that you are willing to invest a lot of time to organize your forces.
As mentionned above, if one country can fill more than one roster, you can have more than one team. So no need to argue or what not.
Also, we need servers. A small 20 slot would do. Assuming there will be teams from all over the world, it would be good to have servers all over the world.
If we have them, teams can choose where they want to play.
Example: USA vs Germany, servers available in both countries, then one round each map would be played on the US server, one on the German server.
If there is no server in a participating country, team can play on a server nearby.

Of course it would be better when you post as captain for your country and start gathering troops right now.

10k value is 20k shop price I believe. Possible, but maybe 30k would be better?
Just commenting on that one thing, no opinion otherwise
