I wonder if he was actually okay after, I guess he just wanted a ride and got front seat too.

the drivers reaction is even more interesting. He is kinda startled the moment the deer comes through but then he's all like, please exit the bus and opens the door for the deer to leave.

That jump saved it's life, still looked fucking deadly though. It looks okay.

Still probably injured. One of my mum and dad's friends had a deer launch itself into the side of the car and it ran off after but when they checked the car it had hefty amount of skin ect on it.
Was mountain biking last week and 6 deer in the field next to us. We stop to watch and next minute they sprint across about 15m behind us and launch themselves across the road to the next field. Deer can seriously jump, amazing to watch, never seen anything like it as it was a very big gap to jump the road in one go.

Quite impressive that the deer( it looks more like a fawn to me) didn't die on impact, considering it smashed the windshield with his ribcage .
I love deer meat, simply delicious.
Didn't really smash the windshield just cracked it, it ripped whatever was holding the windshield to the bus, pushing the windshield inside and going under it. Probably why it survived. If it did go through the actual windshield, it would probably get some nasty cuts, but this way it was only blunt damage

Windshields are made of laminated glass, and you add plastic to keep it together, that's why you don't see glass flying everywhere (and that's why people don't systematically die in car accidents too).
