Title: Ping on servers

I've been thinking ( I know I shouldn't, in these hours), but the problem is this.
A lot of people these days are playing mostly on one server - Double XP server - even it is not giving double xp now. Question is this: Why? And the answer to this is that people have normal ping here. A ping they used to have before ( before the patch or I don't know what was  the cause). Ping I have there is something around 30 (pretty much constant) whilst on any other EU servers I have 100-280 ping (makes me feel like I play on NA or chinese server). So problem shouldn't be  on my side if I can run a server smoothly. Maybe change hosting to all servers? Because it makes the cRPG almost unplayable for some people.
