Polearm.  Which is why you basically never see it used.

I was using it when polestun was still active, but now it's not a useful tool if you don't have polearm wpf.

The reason it is not used is:

-If you are a polearm user, you better use other polearms.
-If you are a twohander, why even bother it.
-It's animations are worse compared to twohander mode.


-The only benefit is it gets bonus thrust damage but it's reach is lowered. Can't do overhead as well. I would only use it if I am a pole/thrower, and if it's the only weapon closeby to loot. Might be an useful trick for lance thrower / melee hybrids.

If you use a 2h/pole hybrid build, you can definitely make use of it. The stab is very good.

Yeah most people don't expect the stab when you're up close with a 2h sword.
