Title: Siege noob guide (MkII)
Post by: deVada on May 05, 2013, 01:03:47 am
If you want to master the art of being a noob during the siege you must obey these few simple rules:
/edition II, accepted by Chigest N00b Councyl on 6th of May 2013/

while playing as attacker:

while playing as defender:

Universal rules:
1. If your enemy dominates you in the fight, show him your supremacy in chat! remarks like "lol bundle of sticks", "retarded lolhander" and "disabled heroshit" will surely put him back into his peasantish place! (thx Uther Pendragon)
2. Use kicks like a pro. Kick your teammates off the walls, kick reloading crossbowmen, kick the guy who's closing the gate. If no wall nor xbower is close - just kick somebody you can! It is necessary to show them all how pro you are.  (thx Macropus)

PS
Thanx for the new ones, feel free to add any rules not listed yet.

Getting kills is the most important thing for attackers in siege - if the clock has run down, don't stay at the flag, run off to attack any enemies.

3. destroy stakes at all cost - show everyone how powerful are your hits and how fearless you are
this should be 'put stakes everywhere you can imagine. put them where your fellow defenders have to run past if they need to get to the flag in a hurry'

Don't forget if your team mate is stood next to a ladder on the ground they are probably just taking in the beautiful scenery and you should feel free to tap dance across the ladder.

this should be 'put stakes everywhere you can imagine. put them where your fellow defenders have to run past if they need to get to the flag in a hurry'

exactly my thoughts. and additionally: put them right before narrow places, especially behind a group of your teammates so they are better protected.

Use kicks like a pro. Kick your teammates off the walls, kick reloading crossbowmen, kick the guy who's closing the gate. To show them all how pro you are at kicking.

As attacker :

6. Always mass up when swinging at gate, your ally may have a mw flamberge but YOU MUST hit the wall with your 12b wooden dagger at all cost!
7. Always stop in the middle of ladder to type something in chat or just to stand still,

As defender :
6. Ladder are an invitation by attacker to attack their spawn! Use it, those slaves put if for you! Same with siege tower
7. Never, ever, guard the flag, this ain't your job, this is the job of afk and leecher!

We laugh, but many of these "tips" are indeed valid if you want to maximize your average multiplier in siege.

Most of the maps are balanced for 60+ population, and since NA siege is usually more like 20-30 people, defense only wins maybe 20% of the time. So if you spawn on defense, just ignore flag and hunt archers/stragglers on the walls for easy valor. Sitting at flag all round is boring and ends in inevitable heartbreak when you get swarmed by 10 attackers with a minute left.
