Title: Website availability and stability
Post by: chadz on April 24, 2013, 11:15:17 am
referring to this:
http://forum.meleegaming.com/announcements/database-server-downtime-thursday-morning/

did you notice any downtimes since we moved the database? Did the availability improve?

Is there anything wrong that's not yet fixed? Especially regarding website, forum, and also strat battle loading.

(ps: the small EU servers are a different problem, fixing them asap)

The forums might be a tad faster for me. Might just be placebo, though.

Dunno if this is related but sometimes I get a timeout on the WSE update. Only way I can start the game is with the "offline"-option.

Occurred yesterday again.

I believe it's better now.

Don't know if it's connected but clan banners don't update in-game for some reason.

Not completely sure if I'm just a rube or not but the armoury seems a bit messed up. I can't seem to borrow gear from it...

Thanks for actually giving us information on the issue and not just keeping us in the dark wondering whether you decided to just cancel 'em.

Looks to be working all smoothly. No downtime experianced until. Yet there still was some ping hiccoughs for multiple players on EU1 occasionally, which is propably unrelated to the database connection though.
GJ and Thanks ^^

This may be unrelated, but NA1 (and only NA1) was getting some really horrible serverwide lag spikes yesterday. Basically, what would happen was everybody on the server would start simultaneously rubberbanding for ~5 seconds, and then our ping would jump to over 200 and gradually go back down until it happened again. I also believe NA1 crashed at least once.

My ISP is so goddamn bad that I honestly couldn't tell the difference if there were one.  I haven't had any issues with the database as of late though, I can give you that much.  (For a couple weeks, I think, I had to occasionally reconnect to a server up to a dozen times to get my stats and gear to load.)

I posted some errors in that thread to possible server database. Related to strat so not sure if truly DB error, but the errors have shown up AFTER this time.
Here's the Link again to check it out. (http://forum.meleegaming.com/announcements/database-server-downtime-thursday-morning/msg768594/#msg768594)
