Title: can't play with wse

every time i try to launch crpg with wse2 i get this critical error message

cant seem to find the crpg beta log, can anyone tell me where i might find this?

Do you have other input devices (i.e. joystick, drawing tablet...) connected to your PC?

no, everything else is working fine just get that message when i use wse2

Can you run dxdiag (http://windows.microsoft.com/en-za/windows-vista/run-directx-diagnostic-tool) , click on Save All Information... and paste the contents of the file here?

Do you have UAC enabled? If yes, can you (temporarily) try to disable it and run WSE2?

Well, that's weird. Try it again, but this time place the file in your Warband directory (where crpg_beta.exe is). Does anything change?

PS2 is a thing of the past! USB all the way!

To be honest there's fuck all difference except I find it a tiny bit easier to plug in a USB that PS2.

then again with ps2 it was easier to know top and bottom instantly.  :D

sorry it took a long time to reply, had to sleep and work etc...

im not 100% sure i put it in right place (can't find crpg_beta.exe anywhere) in put it in; program files (x86) > mount&blade warband > modules > crpg.
and this is what it said:

crpg_beta.exe is in program files (x86) > mount&blade warband, but it shouldn't make a difference as long as you tried under program files (x86).
What bothers me is that both the test application and Warband are working as expected, and WSE2 isn't, despite using the exact same code. Was it always like this (i.e. the first time you tried WSE2), or did it stop working after an update or after you made some changes or something else? Are you running any antivirus software?

ok im really sorry about this, but i just disabled my antivirus and it's made it work, i've not changed any settings for some reason it just stopped it from working. sorry to have wasted your time cmp, really appritiate your help. don't care what people say about the dev's. this proves your willing to help people even though u knew it was probably a problem at my end u still reply at 4 am.

Indeed, my antivirus was alerting too about few processes of crpg and even about crpg.exe itself.
I told it to shut up because I like c-rpg, no matter what it does with my computer.  :rolleyes:
