Title: The new auctions
Post by: Gurnisson on April 18, 2013, 04:49:43 pm
You can change your gender by retiring or getting hold of a doctor.

Gender change (http://c-rpg.net/?page=marketplaceauction&id=4556)
Name Change (http://c-rpg.net/?page=marketplaceauction&id=4555)
Change your loom to whatever item you want of the same rank (http://c-rpg.net/?page=marketplaceauction&id=4554)

So, what do you think of these new auctions? Being able to change gender and name without retiring is a really neat feature at least!

A heirloom of your choice? (http://c-rpg.net/?page=marketplaceauction&id=4554) One can wonder if it's a +1, +2 or +3!
You can change one of your heirlooms of any rank into another one of the same rank (let me know if it is poorly worded, don't want people to start thinking they can buy any heirloom for gold).

Poor Travelling Trader, he's gonna get shitloads of Danish greatswords  :D

It is created by the system. The main purpose of this auction is to make it easier to get rid of an item nobody else wants on the market (because it was nerfed, etc.). So for example you could exchange your +3 danish for any other +3 item.

Of the same rank, ok. But does that item come from a real player or is it a random generated loomed item? I don“t really get it, sorry if I am just to stupid.

I expect that it is just materialised and the other one is destroyed. I would think of it as morphing the item that you're giving him into the one that you're getting in return.

Apparently Harald posted in between the time it took me to hit "reply". Everything I said is redundant.

UNbalanced upkeep keeps this from being a fair mechanic to many players. Some never see their gold increase, and that's with 80% low tier weapons and armor.

Is it possible to get several of those auctions (especially heirloom trade) at the same time? It is a very nice idea, but not that helpful if we only get one or two item changes per week.

These are brilliant ideas! Good job, I just now wish I hadnt traded my +3 Danish for those 2 loom points lol

Why do we have a market at all then?

When you pin the price by offering blacksmith and now transmutation services....

Don't like the heirloom exchange thing tbh. It's gonna screw up the market big time.

They have to be used within 14 days to avoid hoarding. With the current interval you could have 2-3 at a time.

1 loom exchange per week will screw market? Just take a look how many danishes, crossbows, heavy lances is on the market. Sooner cRPG die then ppl will get rid of shitty items. Also first autcion costs already 220 k.

Yeah, if you add more than 200k to your offer of a +3 for another +3, you can get rid of anything on the market. Even a heavy lance.

Nah, I am talking about offering more than one "heirloom trade" auction at the same time, like the banner auctions. Just one or two auctions each week for the whole community isn't that much if you ask me. :)

Exactly my point.

Hell no. Once per week is going to have a big impact already.

heh, I don't get it how paying ~220 k for exchanging items will screw the market if u can get rid of any item for the same price? Sure, with auction u can get very good item instead of just good for your heavy glance or 2slotsxbow, but I don't think it matters that much.

All the cheap sells, auctions and trades will disappear slowly. There will be less room for smart trading. Get a MW Danish for a +2 item and trade it on for another +3 with adding gold... those kind of things will be way harder to do.

Once you win the auction, can you hold onto these for a while? What if I want to wait to change my loom or change my gender?

Read description of auctions. You have 14 days to use it, after that it will expire.

If it ever becomes important, the auction price will skyrocket and it will matter less and less.
