Title: A way to hybridize characters
Post by: Algarn on April 17, 2013, 08:38:41 pm
How many times I made builds for throwers , xbowmen , archers , cavs , ... and getting annoyed by few wpf missing or a low melee profiency ?

Then, I think a conversion of skills points would be a pretty cool way to hybridize ranged classes , and then, remove the "full bow/xbow/throwing" chars

If 1 skill point -> 25 weapon points, that would be useless to maximise again the main fighting skill (bow/xbow/ ...) and that would encourage archers and other classes to fight at melee.

Or you plan your build accordingly.

WM is already the little retardo of the skills, rather have a buff to that then this suggestion.

Make this won't make archers more OP at ranged, that would encourage them to put points in 1 handed  for fight at melee. Maybe archers will kite less ...

Why would they use the wpf on 1h rather than archery?

I agree with Haboe; WM needs a buff and free wpf should be removed.

Only way to fix it would be to put a hard cap on WPF. But that would make hybrids almost the standard.

Yeah , maybe buff WM would be more simple , but , you if you allow conversion , that will increase the diversity of builds (more hybrids, as said before). Both solutions are good , but devs don't care "I think"
