I get the same exception violation issue... but it was only when I had final_boss' heirloom pack. It works fine with korgoth's chainmail though.

Yea, the latest wse update seems to screw with the heirloom package. My MW Jarids turned invisible and re-appeared after using the repair option and not re-installing the heirloom textures.

No, not that. There's a file called crpg_beta_log.txt in the Warband main directory (the same place where mb_warband.exe is).

It's a known bug, but it shouldn't be related to the crazy banners.
