Title: weight and other mechanics
Post by: Tomeusz on April 14, 2013, 09:07:52 pm
Hi,
Iam looking for webs with describtion of in game mechanics. Previously there were wiki, but it seems like it was closed/changed and i cant find old articles.

Question about weight. Whats the  formula for weight/ athlethics/ moving speed? Because iam getting tired of it when i run with 6 athlethics, big agility(which increase speed also as i remember), low and weightless armor and 2h, highly/heavy armored guys manage to chace me and hit mefrom behind. it seems like weight have worthless factor for speed so no point at reducing it.

One does not simply run with 20kg of arrows.

If you really want to run away you must drop your bow and arrows.

Hi,

Game mechanic megathread (http://forum.meleegaming.com/beginner's-help-and-guides/game-mechanic-megathread!/).
As for movement speed - you can't start running at full speed when you just pressed W button, it takes some time to accelerate. So yes, if the guy behind you was running for some time already and you just started running away - you might get caught unless you have significantly more athletics.
Also weight does affect speed and maneuverability, the more athletics you have - the more noticeable this penalty becomes.
