This thread will be mostly useful for those who are eager to get masterworks but they don't like or simply can't grind them, but also want to help this mod. Even though I've already given away my full set of masterworks to people who deserved them, I can give rewards to other players who have the ability to deserve them now hence I'll define for what you can get some certain +3 items.

Prizes which are mentioned here are guaranteed prizes which will be given personally by me. If people will like your work, they will definitely add something more like gold, loom points or other loomed items. Don't forget that you will not only get an item which required many hours to be loomed but you will also have the respect and reverence of this community, and that is more important than anything I can offer to you.

Global rules and requirements:

1. Male voice pack.
cRPG lacks voice actors, hence there are a lot of voice commands which have no sounds actually. In order to take part just record a couple of different voice commands and upload them somewhere. If people like it, then you'll have to record all of the voice commands and get your prize. You can also ask your friends to record it if they can do it good.

2. Female voice pack.
The rules and requirements are the same as for male voice pack. As it's mentioned before - you can ask your girlfriend or anyone else to do it, it doesn't matter who applies to do this, we do care only about the result.

3. Weapon/shield/horse models
cRPG lacks models for some weapons. I.e. there are only 3 models for 5 crossbows for years and there are no unique models yet. Also there are a lot of items that we would need, creative ideas.

4. Armour models
Same requirements.

5. Battle map
EU1 map rotation list lacks good balanced maps

6. Beta-siege map
The new siege mode definitely lacks maps.

7. Rageball/DTV map
Same requirements, should be mode compatible.

8. New image of Strategus map
Picture of Strategus map is a remade medium quality image. We need a completely new one with an adequate quality.

9. New models for environment/Strategus
This is a wide point. It's mostly something about Strategus enhancement, like levels of destructions of additional walls/structures, plus more realistic destructions instead of current etc.

10. Optimization and fixes
There is a lot of stuff which has to be done with optimization so this game lags less, works better on weak PCs or has less glitches.

11. New features for the mod

12. Private server
Sometimes certain private servers can be very useful for this community serving its needs. I also understand that any server costs money so it will be a small reward from me.

Ok, if you want ideas for improve cRPG , I have few good ideas :

- Add croutching position (this feature is in PW or F&S)
- Change the reward system of new siege/conquest ( that's annoying to be with x1 while 30 minutes ... Then , make a reward by damages...)
- Add more things from Floris mod pack (there is a lot of horses , bows , crossbows , melee weapons , ... and there is a lot of good music ingame)
- reduce the prize of construction site (for make a fun siege , we need tents, catapults , siege towers , ...)
- Allow ladders in siege
- Add a deathmatch server ( EU9 is always empty )

I've always wanted to make weapons or armours for mount and blade. That masterwork might give me the motivation to actaully work on it. I could maybe try to make that Byzantine bow.

Very good map. That's a perfect example with what one should apply, but it's better to post some screenshots right in this thread than posting a link.

Adding things from other mods is forbidden in most cases. Also your suggestions don't fit requirements. You have not only to suggest what to do, but also how to do and in a detailed way. Suggestions like "fix the mod, add new features and make graphics better" don't count.

Thanks. By this moment I don't lack prizes, we will definitely need them in future when there are other candidates with good stuff to apply with. I will most likely use cRPG faction http://c-rpg.net/index.php?page=ladderoverviewclans#!?page=claninfodetail&id=1512 which already has like 300+k of donations.

I'm gonna ask my fellow clan member from native to have him perhaps add his maps to cRPG. Quite a few of them and they are mostly better than the average cRPG EU1 map imo.

Fuck, if looms actually motivated you, I'd donate some looms to you for a few specific things. (Just get meow to actually give item balancers some of the heirlooms he's keeping from banned accounts)

Edit: Seriously, I need heirlooms purely for testing purposes.

I might consider doing voice overs.  Would be interesting.  The reward is optional, I have gone a year and a half without looms, can't miss what I never had.

If anyone need someone with a younger/deeper sounding voice, I'm open for helping you losers out :)

  • Charisma. You should sound appropriately to the voice command
  • Language. English of course and better without accent

Without accent?  English has about 30 accents, could you specify which is accentless?  The queen's English only, or would a cockney or New Zealand accent work?  I myself have the most charismatic sound, but am burdened with a western Canadian accent:(

I mean without foreign accent, I doubt Russian/Italian/French/Spanish/etc accents would fit. Give it a try and give us some examples NOW!

As someone mentioned few months before. Dedicated crosbowmans need pavise shield on his back with 0 damage taken from projectiles.And this shield should be used only on back..

This might be a good idea, still a lot of the stuff is disputable, also even though it's very complicated already, they way you want to implement it requires way more details. It doesn't represent hybrid classes at all, also I doubt it's even possible to implement it. I think cRPG needs something easier.

Of course, it's just a first rough concept, and I wanted to show the direction it could go into. Hybrids and simply people with no identificable class (e.g. low lvl chars) are not even considered. I also planned on integrating the generations somehow.

And I don't think that "complicated" or "easy" should be factors which matter. The calculation is running in the background, so the players don't need to know everything. Actually it might even be better if they don't know how it works at all, so that they can't manipulate the calculations somehow.

And in general I think a simple system will not work. The classes in cRPG are that different, and there are so many factors to consider, that a simple system like the current one will always lead to injustice and missing motivation. We always had easy systems before, and they all failed to reward the players in a fair way. I think there is no alternative to creating a more sophisticated system.

I was too lazy to read and see if someone already said this, but I think some of the native armors should be edited so they match with the armors. Like I use the "Guard Helmet" with "Haubergeon" and they don't really match up. Like everything looks good on it but the bottom. You can see  this weird part where you can see skin or it just looks weird.

So, I'm not sure how editing armor works, but what if the chainmail on the neck went down like this. But maybe not so far down his shoulders, just so it covers his neck.

Another thing- Some of the leg armors don't match with some body armors and it kinda annoys me.

A lot of those items in Floris are from independent modders. As long as you give them credit, they'll let you use it for your own needs. I do believe that you'll have to get in contact with some of them though.

Also on other ideas; none of these are game-breaking and aren't intended for the prize, but they are little things that would be nice in cRPG.

I made a one handed Morningstar, its identical to the two hander version but I could change that probably if it's needed.

It's reach is about the same as the Military pick's reach.

Decided to make a one handed flamberge. Handle might need to be adjusted. I think it's just long enough to have about 90 reach or so. I made the blade a bit thicker since I posted screenies for this weapon.

Ruined Castle DTV

This map is manually AI meshes instead of using the auto AI mesh. I'm not even sure if AI mesh is required but I did it anyways do prevent bots from wandering or getting stuck somewhere on their way to the virgin.

Beach Assault

This DTV map is a little more complicated then the normal village map. It is supposed to replicate being besieged. The players cannot exit the castle ( barriers ) and the bots will enter the castle. Players are free to walk the courtyard and the walls. Shooting and slashing bots as they try to go up the siege tower, up the ladders, or through the gates. It is also manually ai meshed, which im still not sure if it matters but atleast they wont get stuck.

I unfortently dont have the knowledge on how to create maps, items, weapons, or Armors but if some one could point me in the right direction i could do so, i have a vast imagination and medieval Warfare are somewhat of my passion i.e also Roman, Era. I have lots ideas and would love to bounce them off of you and do what ever i can to keep crpg going. Despite  what some people think of me towards the game i love it, i just have tenancy to rage ha ha so i say outlandish things we all have coping mechanisms for life. Anyways im also only loomed once so im actually low on the gear side and am in need of some serious golds. So that being said if you want me to pm you my opinions and ideas about the future of CRPG let me know as well i should point out, i think you should have a conference call...like on a Teamspeak server with Some of the major clans that are active or want to come back that way its a better way to discuss and debate ideas rather than sending messages after messages and hopefully something gets done. An active discussion is good and what we really need for a first step in MY Opinion maybe thats just me but i think it could go along way. We all want to see thing game grow into something.......AWESOME Kick ass mother%^&*( ya you get what i mean ;) anyways if you like what you hear let me know send me a pm goes for everyone doing this, ESpecially those doing or redoing some armors and weapon etc i would be happy to give me ideas.

I believe you mean it should be understandable properly (not rubbish). Cause I would not have any problems with an accent if it does add flavour to it.

Ok so decided to scrap my spiked mace since I didn't like the design. I made a one handed Morningstar, its identical to the two hander version but I could change that probably if it's needed.

It's reach is a tiny bit over a Military pick's reach.

Some features that i have been missing are these:

1. A warhorn/battlehorn
* should be assigned to leaders in the clan, trusted and not misused
* a "test" in strategus wars
* used for rallieng the troops

2. Battlemap
* all teammembers should be able to see their team mates, but within a certain range(you are coloured black)
* used in strategus and crpg battles
* fog of war( realistic) you can see the entire map, but not where everybody is located during the time, there is a range limit, around you. Fog of War is sound based, meaning, a battle/person can be located if the person makes a sound, shouts or yells, this person can be spotted on the map as a blip.
* a compass should be implemented on the map.

3. Fatigue
* Stamina should be implemented, the heavier gear and weapoons, the slower u swing and block, a stamina bar should be visible.
* running and than shooting an xbow or bow should be done more realistic, (you have to catch a breath before you shoot) moves up and down like in real life, when u have run a few meters and stops to take aim( example: Operation Flashpoint)

4. Nobilities
* hostages, thought it would be interested to be able to take some hostages
* before you kill them all, like say there are 5-10 enemies left, the can be asked to surrender, of course if the opposing force is 15 strong, there has to be a barrier.
* the will be taken aside, and can not fight in the next match, but will be placed "under arrest" a hostage camp, if u can say that.
* if the team wins again, the round ends. And the sum of gold to pay for the hostages is shared amongst the winning team.

these are some of the ideas i have come up with.

I didn't like introducing even better coordination tools to the player. This is supposed to be medieval warfare, where happens sudden decreases of morale because of an unspotted cavalry charge. An unexpected cavalry attack to a siege camp during a nightime, will result of the routing of thousands accomplished with no more than hundred men. Due to lack of communication, the ones in the siege camp might think one of the hostile alliances have come to the aid of defenders finally (Siege of Malta, 1565).

We don't even have a morale system, everyone acts like a brave hero because they have endless lives and don't feel any pain when their characters gets hurt. There is no cowardice or bravery in M&B, everyone simply fights. We already have teamspeak which is technically a perfect version of a radiotelephone. The things should be chaotic enough to make it feel like battle. Even a commander should be seeing it only from his point of view, or it will be simply an easymode if you can see the things on a battle map.

I'd rather not listen to Corsairs extremely thick accent when I press a voice command  :lol:

Other suggestions seem cool. Though taking hostages might broke the things in strategus. Factions send 1500 armies over and over to weaken a fief. Things might go to a more defensive kind of gameplay, which would make the game more boring probably.

Dont nerf archery, feel it should be buffed abit, personally.

Also if possible fix archery and crossbow so you can shoot shielders feet,
( as yesterday in seige shielder on wall in the gap for ladder with his shield really high, i shot an arrow right where his shin is and every arrow i shot low hits his shield)

Allowing ladders in seige would be good,

just pying and thougt:

on character setupin game I know on males you can chose out of how many bears and facial hairs,
so why don't you introduce something for women like they could have different hairstyles for instance:
Fringe, no fringe.

to a side
have a plat pony tail
or just downa nd then have the hairstyles that you already have now but with one of those so people could make it their own like males.



Allowing people to have a crouching position to hide or reload xbow, would help.

Can't think of much else as of yet but those would help i think :))

Yes i think archery and xbow should be more realistic as you say, with the shooting the feet.

And weapons breaking, not just shields, im an arber, and i dont know if it is a bug or suppose to be there, but i have experienced that i can shoot with my arb sometimes, especially when im picking up a bolt, the other bolts i have, they dissapear.

I tried to do the simple voice-commands that wouldn't require a lot of enthusiasm (Merely because it is just a test)  If people want more I will attempt others.  Perhaps put some more character into it.

Try it. The accent is fine for me but to see proper results you need enthusiasm that fits the battlefield.

Find a real two-handed blunt weapon that could be thrustable with the 2h animation while having knockdown. Then, model and texture it. I'll personally give you a loom point. This has the potential to cause more QQ than anything else I think I've ever thought of. It's such a splendid idea I get giddy just thinking about it.

It's good, I like how it's recorded, but requires more enthusiasm. Just imagine that you're on the field of battle giving orders. The first good attempt!  :D

There's really nothing to model a two handed blunt weapon made for thrusting from. If I were to make one myself it would be weird looking since blunt weapons are usually heavy and you wouldn't think you could thrust with em. A blunt polearm would be a lot easier, but you specifically stated two hand.

Well I contributed a few things for this, granted my modeling/texturing skills aren't the best. Also contributed two DTV maps. Just saying because I have no looms and i'm poor.  :oops:
