Happens a lot with low PD and cut-damaging arrows, nothing special here.
What was actually really weird is that I once survived a headshot from Pejlaen with 53 head armor, the shot was made from like 15 meter distance. Took only like 80% of my HP.

Yeah it's weird that the arrow actually sticks in the head instead of just having bounced off the metal helmet.

Incase we need more evidence about this:
Throwing lance JARID in the helmet. Fucking 40 pierce and my boy is still holding strong.

HoC too stronk?

Still had a 1/5th of my health left while wearing a 40 Point protection helmet. I'm a man.

Over the past few months I've seen a lot of headshots that are not fatal...ppl running around with arrows and shit in their heads.

I never used to see this...any projectile to the head used to mean pretty much instant death.

Are people just using weaker bows/throwing items, or were headshots nerfed?

Weaker shots stick in the head even if you survive, didn't happen before.

Actually thats how it works in Native afaik. Cmp just changed it for cRPG irc.

Just to push this further, I have a MW horn bow, regular bodkins, 6 PD and shot shot bernie in the head coming up the ladder. He had on a regular nasal helmet which is 26 armor and he has 5 IF....

Oh and Bonesaw got in on the fun too. Took one in the dome with a higher armor helmet too.

Didn't penetrate helmet ;P

I have a funny SS of a guy with a bolt sticking out of his eye running around merrily.

I think they lowered the headshot bonus quite some time before, but then again I was absent for a while.

Kutuzov survived two headshots to his temple in separate battles, from a musket. It gave him headaches.
