While very similar to adding a secondary mode to throwing daggers to allow melee, it would be much more advantageous for me as a melee player.
All you would get is one throw, but on the upside it wouldn't cost you 3 weight to carry around as a secondary weapon only 0.2 for the dagger weight. I don't care if it did 10pierce damage or less, It would just be fun to throw the sucker once in a while for a glory kill.
Not saying it's possible, I just think it would be a killer feature.

makes sense to me, I would be willing to take the 1 skill point hit any day to throw my dagger once in a while. ;)

That's not true, Throwing lances when they were nerfed to be one per two slots were later buffed to be one slot one throw.

I really don't see it being a viable throwing weapon for an actual thrower build... weak damage plus only having 1 ammo per slot (4 max potential)...
rocks would be way better for a thrower build than a melee 1h dagger w/ secondary throw mode.

I would like the ability to trow the ordinary and short spears as well.
This would be badass. Although shortspear does have the same stats as throwing lance.

All weapons should have throw option, IMO. Even if its wildly inaccurate.
