If some designer want a good new helmet, I suggest the Chapel de Fer with ocular :

Quite common in the english, french and swiss army at the end of the 15th century. He has a real style !

I think it needs a mail coif or padded coif under it to make it seem more reasonable.

Those helmets were often worn with a bevor on the armor. It's like a lower jaw of steel that is attached on the armor.

That's what the gothic plate with bevor is for :P
