Evening! Guys, is there any limit for maximum power strike in game?

no, but you need 3 str per powerstrike. lvl 35 is about the highest level a man shoot aim for.

Damage added from PS plateaus at 10, so realistically anything over that is a waste

i think powerstrike is worth nothing without ironflesh. if you want to be a slow tank, do it correctly and take heavy armor and max ironflesh. its OP and i will call you a fucking noob but its very strong. also, the heavy armor (plate) will cost you alot.

AFAIK every skill retains it's effect up to 15.

well, i fyou are quite new  you will have a hard time with holding your armor shiny and stuff

Back in my 42/3 days, I did just that.

I felt like the final boss of the game every time I went into the siege server with my loomed plate and greatsword.

I think the argument is that you one hit kill nearly everyone at around 10 PS, so in practice, its plateauing.

I think I read somewhere that someone used the damage calc to measure the difference between damage at 10 PS and the damage added from each additional PS and that it was not significant, but I'm too lazy to search for the post

Even if PS does add damage at any level, having more than 8-9 PS is just too much overkill. You don't need that much, especially if you hit the head.

I did my own little researches and here are my results; on a 40 armor and 64 HP enemy with a 42 cut polearm, it would go like this:

At lvl 30:

24/15 (8 ps): 38.6 / 57.8   head :1-2 chest :2-2 hand :2-2 legs :2-2
30/9 (10 ps): 43.7 / 64.2     head :1-2 chest :1-2 hand :2-2 legs :2-2
33/6 (11 ps): 45.8 / 66.8     head:1-2  chest:1-2  hand:2-2  legs :2-2
36/3 (12 ps): 48.1 / 68.7     head:1-2 chest :1-2 hand :2-2 legs :2-2

At lvl 34:

30/15 (10 ps): 45.7 / 65.8         head:1-2  chest:1-2  hand :2-2  legs:2-2
36/9 (12 ps):  49.9 / 71.2     head:1-2  chest:1-2  hand :1-2  legs:1-2
42/3 (14 ps):  54.1 / 76.6     head:1-2  chest:1-2  hand:1-2   legs :1-2

I know Frug. He went basically the other way. He became an agi whore. He was 12/30 or something last I remember. Might have changed that by now. He was owning people with a mw practice sword. Awesomeness.

One thing, there is only head,foot and body armour. You cant chop hands off in crpg

I know but you can still hit on the hands, chest impact is more important then hand impact, thats my point here.

No, you cant. You can just hit the head,body or feet. There is simply no hitbox for hand area

do go check the domage planner and youll see a difference between a hit to the hands and a hit to the chest

Projectiles that hits the hands deals significantly lower damage than a chest shot.

You only gain about 10 more cut damage across the board with an MW War Cleaver with 15 PS compared to 10 PS.

So I suggest going 30/9 for the lvl 30 then go for more agi as you go threw the lvl so you reach 30/15 at the final.
