I have a upkeep of 2,138 and I'm constantly losing money unless I get loads of 5x multis. I also play siege mostly and after each round I usually lose 300-1600 so I'm losing like 200 gold per hour or something.
I know I must get worser armor to reduce upkeep but idk which I should change.
I'm an hoplite.
Weapons:
Military Hammer
Red Tassel Spear
Shield:
Board Shield
Helmet:
Elite Cavalry Chichak
Chest Armor:
Heraldic mail with tabard
Leg armor:
mail chausses
Hand armor:
Mail gauntlets
what do you believe that is less important and that I should change?

You might just be on a rough streak. You shouldn't be draining the bank with that gear.
-
if you lose the hammer and just pick up a 1h on the field you should be good to go. or use the hammer when u get x3+
-
i would say the armor, as you are a hoplite this isnt that important. you can still get higher tier armor when you have better multi.

This. I use very similar gear (2027 gold , Military Cleaver, Heavy Round Shield, Red Tassel Spear, Guard Helmet, White tunic over mail, Mail gauntlets and Mail Chauses) and gain a lot of money.
Do you have wpf over 100 in at least one melee wpf (2h, pole or 1h)? If not, repair chances for weapons are slightly higher, and that could be the reason.
Another thing might be that you may not be getting some of the ticks. I have realised that sometimes if you have a menu open (esc, tab or C menus I believe) when the tick comes by you do not get it. Could this be the issue?

Weapons:
Military Hammer - 457 gold
Could go with the iberian here instead. An upkeep of 390 with slightly less range but it is faster. Same damage.
Red Tassel Spear - 432 gold
You could go with the light lance instead which would shave about 100 gold off. However that's completely up to you. Red Tassel Spear is awesome.
Shield:
Board Shield - 260 gold
My shield of choice. Good pick :D
Helmet:
Elite Cavalry Chichak - 328 gold
You can change your helm to something with slightly less head armor if you want. Some very decent helms that have only 5 or so less armor that shave about 100 upkeep off here. Not sure if this is a style choice though.
Chest Armor:
Heraldic mail with tabard - 420 gold
For the exact same armor rating you can go for the archon's armor which is 368 upkeep.
Leg armor:
mail chausses - 90 gold
I see no problem here.
Hand armor:
Mail gauntlets - 145 gold
Excellent mid level guantlet. Don't change this.
If you go with what I suggested on each pick (you don't have to and probably shouldn't least on the tassel spear), you have an 1876 gold upkeep instead of 2138 and you haven't lost one ounce of combat effectiveness. (Note: I used the Tagancha helm with an upkeep of 288 for the calculation.)
You don't need to change a thing though if you don't want to. Shouldn't be losing gold hand over fist with that upkeep.

wow ty I'll do this!

The suggestion above is pretty solid...but I would reduce leg armor.
Lets are rarely hit, and even when they are, they take 80% damage compared to a body hit.
You can go with leather boots or Rus cav boots or even rus shoes.
As a rule, I try to make my leg armor about two thirds of my body armor. Anything more is too much. It won't save that much on upkeep...but why over armor the legs?

Military Hammer: Short Arming Sword is really cheap and awesome. Winged Mace is a good choice if you want a cheaper mace.
Red Tassel Spear: Light Lance is better imho. You can't sheath it, but that is usually not a huge problem. Otherwise Red Tassel Spear is a good choice.
Board Shield: Ok. You can also try the Round Shield. Won't last that long, but offers you better protection.
Helmet: Would use a cheaper helmet. Get one with 1,3-2,2 kg weight.
Heraldic Mail with Tabard: I really like the Byrnie/Mail Shirt with Fur. They offer you an awesome protection for their weight/upkeep and look nice.
Mail Chausses: Good choice. For even lower upkeep you could get Rus Cavalry Boots or something similar.
Mail Gauntlets: Get Mail Mittens instead. Very low upkeep. You won't notice the armor difference.

Other suggestions are good on how to reduce upkeep, but really I think you're worrying about a problem that doesn't exist. You should gain gold with that loadout in the long run. I think this is an issue of low sample size.
