Title: Guide for Slots and Sheathable Weapons.

Trial-and-Error is running rampant in battles due to no one knowing how many slots items are until you are in the equip screen, resulting in innumerable cases of undesirable purchases and character planning. We also have rampant cases where players spawn with a new weapon every round to see if it sheaths.

Let us take the guess work out of this, shall we?

This guide will be obsolete once the developers implement visible "Slots" and "Is Not Sheathable" into the buying guide.

If you wish to contribute, please do so as I encourage it and would greatly appreciate it. I do not want wild guesses, I only want input if you yourself have directly seen in the equip screen how many slots (0, 1, 2 or 3) an item uses.

Arrows (4/4) and Bolts (2/2) are 1 slot items.

Heavy crossbow and arbalest take two slots, not one.

All lances are two slots and not-sheathable.
Heavy norman shield, knightly heater shield, heavy heater shield and old heater shield are one slot and sheathable.
Also all daggers are zero-slot and sheathable.
Edit:
Knightly arming sword one slot and sheathable.
War spear two slot and sheathable.
long bow two slot and sheathable.
war bow two slot and sheathable.

They we're all from memory, so correct me if I'm wrong. (Don't doubt my superior knowledge!)

Longbow and Warbow are 2 slot, others are 1 slot - All bows are sheathable.
Heavy xbow and Arbalest are 2 slot, others are 1 slot - All xbows are sheathable.
Long dagger and below are 0 slot and sheathable. (I have heard rumours that everything from hammer down are 0 slot).
Longsword, Heavy Bastard Sword, Bastard Sword are 2 slot, sheathable.
Pike, 2 slot & unsheathable.
German & Danish Greatswords are 2 slot, sheathable.
Flamberge is non sheathable.

I know there are a few repeats, I have just confirmed + given a few more! :)

Isn't everything that was showed on your back/left when sheathed, allways sheathable now ? (But the 3 other statements aren't allways true)

I confirm everything so far.
+ german poleaxe seems to be sheathable :o , but I don't know how many slots

Hand axe, or hammer. Hand axe is longer but slower, has a little more damage on light armor and bonus against shield. Hammer is shorter but faster, more damage vs medium armor less on light and chance of knockdown. What it comes down to is personal preferance.

One Handed are 47% complete.
Two handed are 42% complete.
Polearms are 64% complete.
Shields are 43% complete.
Throwing weapons are 67% complete.
Bows are 100% complete.
Crossbows are 100% complete.

Also tell me why Iron staff takes 2 slots.

FFS, it is based on length, too, right? Quarter is longer, takes 1 slot. Iron staff shorter, 2 slots.

Iron staff is heavier, dus has a better knockdown chance and it dishes out more dmg than the other staffs.

oh just noticed that the char web page got updated (i think yesterday)
but now it shows slots and sheathable'nes, pretty nice   :D
wich makes this thread obsolete, but anyways thx to Tears for doing this and everybody else supporting.
