A lot of people are complaining about how the generation based xp bonus got nerfed and how it isn't fair to new players and not fair to old players ect ect.
Here is my solution:
Scaling XP bonus based on generation -
Gen 1-10 get a 5% bonus to xp per gen.
Gen 11-20 get a 3% bonus to xp per gen. (After gen 11)
Gen 21+ get a 1% bonus to xp per gen. (After gen 21)
So a gen 4 will get 20% xp bonus, gen 14 will get a 62% xp bonus (50% + 12%) ect ect.
This way it should work out for everyone and fix a lot of the complaints about the system.

This is a great idea, which Torp also put forward in an earlier thread. The numbers of course are irrelevant and can be used or changed, but the idea itself is a good one, a scaling system.

has been suggested many times, and once again, i agree
I dont like these numbers though, a bit too low imo.
I'd say +15% gen 1-5
+10 gen 6-10
+5 gen 11-15
+3 gen 16+

The concept is nice sure, but this doesn't affect anyone that is gen 1. The base xp bonus must also be raised.

Perhaps a higher starting level for new players too? E.g. every new player starts at level 15(?) but gets kicked down to 0 once they retire. This would help with new player retention, encourage alts rather than retirement, and complement Konrax's scheme.

you sir are fuckin briliant makes sense i geuss this is the only way to plz every1

why would this even matter with an exp cap though?

I don't think a cap would be necessary if you are only gaining a 1% bonus to xp for each gen.
That will also help encourage players to stay with the mod even after they have gotten several generations down the line.
