Title: Thrower : how much wpf to stay accurate ?
Post by: Cosmos_Shielder on April 30, 2011, 09:02:26 pm
It seems that since the update , thrower have been nerfed.
I have 9 at power throw and 121 at throwing wpf , and my aim circle became so big with war darts. Moreover when i try to shoot i have a message ( Your proficiency in throwing weapon is too low)
So i'm gonna reborn and i need to know how much wpf i need to get to fix my accuracy ?
I think that adding power throw don'ty give anymore accuracy...

I need to experiment with the builds a bit more but it feels like throwing got hit with the nerf bat a bit too hard.  With Jarids taking up 2 slots and their ammo count reduced to 3 that means I only have 3 shots with pretty bad aim to kill someone (with a 2 hander equipped). And even if I do hit them it's still not a kill, I hit a barely armored person and no kill :(  The only viable option seems to be wardarts because it takes up only 1 slot and has 7 shots for each stack. The problem is even with 10 PT it can take quit a bit to kill someone with them especially if they are well armored (4+ shots). Maybe it's just that my wpf is too low, but it just seems like they went a bit overboard in compensating for them being OP.

The accuracy of throwing lance didn't get nerfed for me , but accuracy of war darts seems not be lower than before

From my quick tests i found that it takes about 14 prof per PT to make the message in the corner go away. However, i also found that going from 1 PT to 2PT, when i had only 15 prof, didn't seem to make my accuracy worse, it just didn't get better. So why, my character with 10PT and 100 and something prof can't throw war darts or daggers accurately is beyond me.

i don't have the patience to do enough tests to actually figure it out. I wish chadz would tell us how these systems work when he randomly decides to put them in, because they are just annoying as hell untill someone figures them out.

Was wondering about the same thing. I miss running around throwing stones with 10 pt and being (somewhat) effective. It wasn't the most effective class, but definitely the most fun one. Now, the stones deal a lot less damage and the crosshair has grown beyond recognition.
