Title: THE build for the new patch

Imo this is THE build to go on this patch.

Hand Pavise Shield + Spathion + Xbow of your choice + bolts ( 1 + 0 + 2 + 1 = 4 slots)

Lvl 30 build

Why this build?

1. You have a shield that is better than a MASTERPIECE huscarl in almost every regard except it has 7 less armor and is a tad smaller

2. You have a 0 slot Knightly Arming sword AKA the Spathion (Knightly Arming swod along with the Nordic champion sword is considered by many to be the best all-around sword in the game)

3. Excellent xbow capability (150 wpf)

Conclusion: A powerful balance of ranged/melee

I don´t belive that the Spathion is supposed to be a 0 slot weapon.

i mean that just doesn´t make any sense  :|

almost all the new items will surely get their stats adjusted, so it's too early to talk about FOTMs

Still weird though, I thought they were waiting for chadz do the the final patch for ages, you'd think they had enough time to think these stats through. There is just so many flaws that are obvious at first glance.

if they would do a very good job in the first try people would cry about things less easy to fix.

Maybe they made those mistakes on purpose to see who has the better ideas to put them into a decent place, and choose those people as item balancers?
I would not be surprised, being done in so similar dates.

I welcome a decent 0slot 1h weapon but imo a 0 slot knightly arming sword is a bit too powerful. Besides, this new sword has basically made the Knightly arming an obsolete weapon.
