Just today I made an STF build of a guy decked in full plate, and I had 2 points left over, so I decided to put them into riding. I picked up a sumper, thinking that, "Hey, it may help me get around faster, right?"
I swear to god, there were a couple of agility crutchers who were outrunning me on foot! It felt like this!

I have trouble believing that. Even during my 10/33 gen I could still get outrun by sumpters.

We were going slightly uphill (about 10 degrees), and I think it was a 3/39 STF, on account of that he was using a nordic short sword.

Sumpters are truly useless horses. I move that the model be replaced with something more appropriate, like a battle donkey. Perfect peasant mount.

It really needs to be swapped with a donkey.

If they make a Battle Donkey, I'm looming it just so it says Champion Battle Donkey!

Just loom your sumpter! Duh.

Sumpter horses are slower than runners except at the highest speeds, which you only reach after a couple of seconds of straight line acceleration on flat ground.

As a horse archer with 0 ath, I sometimes would spawn a sumpter horse just to get my to my shooting position on the siege server. But that's with 8 riding. 2 riding is like pony rides at the carnival.

I once tried to play a 3 riding 0 HA horse crossbowman before I retired at 32. I was surprisingly accurate with the xbow but all I could hit were enemy horses. Then I managed to tk Cyranule with a perfect headshot.
