Title: Tanken's "Replace my Ugly Avatar" Contest -- Win Gold! (must be hand drawn)

So, apparently the community doesn't like my avatar all that much (I don't know why). So, I'm offering the community a chance to replace my avatar with a nice hand-drawn avatar.


It's pretty simple, I'll pay 75k for a nice (or funny) drawn Avatar of myself. I may even pay more, depending on how good it is. This is also a chance for some of you to renown farm or show off your artistic prowess.

Would definitely like it to be in color, and include the KUTT banner on my heraldic. I use Long Spear primarily and other Polearms, so have at it guys.


I'll pick a winner sometime next week. Also, bonus points (and bonus gold) if you design a nice KUTT signature for my crew to use. That's open-ended, so do whatever you want.

Oh God. This is great. I think what I need to do is 75k for whoever wins the Avatar competition part, and then 25k to each person I pick to be in my signature. That way I can take like 5-6 pics for my signature, put them side by side, and enjoy them all :D

Just when I thought this competition was sealed or nearing its end, this gem shows up. I actually tried to snap a screenshot like this, but my fingers are too short to hold Mouse 1, Tilda, Shift, and press F12. Lol

I grasp the mouse in my talons and actually pick it up while holding mouse 1. Left hand does tilda and shift, right hand hovers over f12 with pinky while you hold the mouse. Yes it makes you look like an invalid who has no idea how to computer. But you get to take cool action shots of your character!

Did you make this in photoshop or with real colours? Looks like potoshop to me.

It is very difficult to draw a picture with coloured areas but without outlines. It needs a lot of practice. It's easier to draw some sketch lines (any way you want, either directly in photoshop or on paper, in which case you must knock out the bacground of the outlines). Then open them with photoshop, remove the "background layer" tag  of the layer, create a new one, and put it UNDER the outlines layer. Now you can draw on the new, lower layer, and the outlines will always be over your colour. If your outlines are rather thick and you need to know where you colours stop under the lines, reduce the density of your sketch layer. Once you are done check the outline layer as invisible and there you go.

I colored it in for him, it was a lot of fun. Much more relevant to my interests than my stack of Yo Gabba Gabba! coloring books.
